Victoria's Secret: Smell Pretty

Once upon a time, we told you to sign up for Victoria's Secert's Pink Nation.

When we told you about it, you could get a free tote bag, which my mom still uses constantly. But, since then, the program has been tweaked, and Vicky's real secret is that you're not getting anything for free without buying something.

Totally lame.

Anyway, if you're planning on spending money at Vicky's anyway, sign into your Pink Nation account. You can get a free lotion with any Pink purchase.

I wouldn't go out of my way for this, but if you're dropping cash anyway, get your money's worth.

Rite Aid, Walmart: Get Your [[Free]] Gain

Gain now has a new dishwashing liquid. Since it is a new product, there was a $1/1 coupon in the PG inserts on 8-29. Rite Aid has Gain on sale for $.89, which means it is a money maker with the coupon.

Target will price match if you take the ad, so you can get free Gain there. Wal-Mart has it for just $.97. Now is a good time to stock up, I doubt we will see another $1/1 coupon in the future. Let us know if you see this anywhere else that will be free.

1-800-Flowers: Sending Some Love

I'm a typical girl. Very typical in every aspect ... especially with the dream to have flowers delivered to me at work one day. It's a silly dream, but I know so many people who have it.

And if you know a girl who is thinking of that, maybe send her flowers today [[Augusy 31]].

Today only, at 1-800-Flowers, you can save 20% with the promo code MTL3. Tomorrow, you can save 15%. And Thursday through Sunday, you'll save 10%.

If you don't need flowers this weekend, but you'll need them eventually, head over to this link. There a code there to save 10% when you sign up. That's good through the end of the year, so sign up and hang onto it.

Sunday Speak: Will You Help?

Each Sunday we ask you a question. My friend Marie at A Cardboard Problem, she does the same thing. This week, though, she decided to post about this incredible cause that we're helping out. I read her post pre-publish, and I couldn't have said it any better myself. So, instead of typing my own post, I'm using hers. Check out her post here when you get a chance. And yes, I'm the friend she mentions in her post.

This weeks question has nothing to do with cards or baseball. My friend Lisa who writes the blog Drugstore Divas, her grandma lives in Florida and plays bingo like most nice old ladies. The bingo parlor that she frequents in Lake Ashton is currently collecting all plastic bottle tops to help one of their residents get cancer treatments.

The guy whose name I do not know (the story is legit), can get one treatment per 300 tops. I would like to know if you guys would be willing to save some plastic bottle tops for a week or so and once I get the address everyone can send them along. If you aren't already willing to help, let my water bottle return story lure you in...

I had 3 GIANT black garbage bags full to return last night, and after Lisa and I went to 5 supermarkets trying to find open machines we gave up and went bowling. So today after my workout I went to the supermarket to return them and take all the tops off. While there, a bag lady (homeless maybe, even) is there with her shopping cart of collected bottles. Once she is done with her cans and glass, she taps me and tell me in some form of a language that I don't need to take the tops off. I, of course, get annoyed and snippy. I tell her I was there first and I need the tops for something so I'm moving as fast as I can. She grumbles. I grumble. She then sticks her hands into my bag and begins to help by taking the tops off and handing me the bottles while adding the tops to my top bag. So me and the bag lady are friends? Well, I finish and figured I should help her (and take all her tops). She was in a great rush for some reason. I had intended on giving her one of my slips for helping (and feeling bad for yelling at her but she was practically running out of the parking lot with her cart.

Moral of the story is that after 40 minutes and over $20 in bottle returns that little old man can get one of his treatments and have one less thing to worry about for at least a day or two.

If you want to help, please let me know and I can e-mail you the details when she gets them to me. Thanks guys.

Coupon Alert: Neutrogena Cosmetics

Thanks so much to Twitter follower @mandasmash for tweeting and letting us know that there is a $3/1 coupon for Neutrogena Cosmetics in the September All You.

We let you know about the Neutrogena Face Makeup printable, but now Amanda let us in on another.

Yet another reason to get the latest All You.

Mail In Rebate: Revlon And Nexxus

I have a new obsession with mail in rebates. I think it has something to do with the fact that if you work them right, you can make money. You're not gonna pay your rent off mail in rebates, but you'll make enough to get a free coffee at Starbucks.

At least, that's what I'm hoping for with this mail in rebate.

Super great reader Maria emailed me to let me know if you head over to this link you can print out a rebate form that's $10 back when you buy $30 worth of Nexxus or Revlon products at Walgreens.

Now, I just let you know yesterday about a printable coupon for Revlon.

This rebate doesn't start until September 1, so hold off buying anything until Wednesday, the earliest. You've got until September 30 to purchase everything, so we'll be on the lookout for deals. If you see any, let us know.

Free Sample: Kelloggs All Bran

Sign up for a free sample of Kelloggs All Bran cereal. I don't really have much more to say about that. My husband will like this cereal, you know the kind, twigs and sticks. Me, I like the fun sugar cereal, think more like Corn Pops.

But if you would like to try a free sample of Kelloggs All Bran, visit here. You will have to register, free of course. Your sample will arrive in four to six weeks.

Coupon Alert: Ball Park Franks

Summer is so almost over. And I am not really thrilled about it. The thought of snow in just a few short months is not so good. But while there is still summer time left, there is still time to save on a summer staple, Ball Park Franks hot dogs.

Head over to Facebook, friend the Divas too while you are there! Visit Ball Park Franks Facebook page here and "like" them. Once you enter your email address, they will email you a $2/1 coupon!

Walgreens: Corporate Coupon Policy

I know some stores are just not coupon friendly. Luckily, I have not had many issues with unfriendly stores or cashiers. Sure there have been one or two incidents but for the most part, my cashiers are more interested in how I get my total so low, not on coupon patrol.

But I know many of you have lots of issues at Walgreens. That is because there was no "offical" coupon policy. Until today. Visit their website here. I would suggest printing this out and keeping it with you for future use.

Official Policy copied from their website:
As a customer-focused retailer, Walgreens encourages the use of coupons by our customers in our retail stores, in accordance with the following guidelines.
Guidelines:
General

* All valid coupons should be presented to the cashier at the time of checkout.
* Walgreens does not accept expired coupons.
* Coupons and their face value cannot be exchanged for cash or gift cards.
* Competitor coupons are not accepted at Walgreens.
* Walgreens cannot accept coupons for items not carried in our stores.
* The number of manufacturer coupons, including Register RewardsTM manufacturer coupons, may not exceed the number of items in the transaction. The total value of the coupons may not exceed the value of the transaction. Sales tax must be paid, if required by state law.
* Any coupon offer not covered in these guidelines will be accepted at the discretion of Walgreens management.

Sale Items

* Walgreens will accept manufacturer coupons for an item that is on sale.
* In the event that any item's selling price is less than the value of the coupon, Walgreens will only accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item. Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons.

Multiple Coupons

* When purchasing a single item, Walgreens accepts one manufacturer coupon and applicable Walgreens coupon(s) for the purchase of a single item, unless prohibited by either coupon offer.
* The coupon amount must be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied. (For example, a $5.00 coupon for a $4.99 item will result in a $4.99 coupon value).
* When purchasing multiple items, Walgreens accepts multiple identical coupons for multiple qualifying items as long as there is sufficient stock to satisfy other customers, unless a limit is specified. Management reserves the right to limit the quantity of items purchased.

Buy One, Get One Free Coupons

* When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased.
* Sales tax must be paid for any Buy One, Get One Free coupon offers, if required by applicable state laws.

Internet/Print at Home Coupons

* Walgreens accepts valid internet/print at home coupons.

Register RewardsTM coupons

Earning Register RewardsTM

* Register RewardsTM will only print for in-stock merchandise during the promotional period.
* Register RewardsTM can only be earned for eligible items. No substitutions.
* There is a limit of one Register RewardsTM (RR) printed per offer per customer per transaction.
* Customers redeeming a Register RewardsTM against the same offer may not receive another RR.

Amazon: I Went Shopping

I won an iPod the day before I left for Japan. It was a fantastic coincidence. I had my best friend's iPod packed and ready to go [[luckily for me, he's the only person I really have musical tastes in common with]]. I filled my iPod with the stuff he doesn't like [[meaning, it's not on his iPod]] and took it to Japan.

Somewhere along the way, my charger got lost.

So I came home and needed a charger ... eventually. The iPod finally died, so we're at that eventually now.

So I went on Amazon. I bought:
$.61 -- iPod shuffle charger
$2.98 -- shipping
Total: $3.59

But I didn't feel like paying that out of pocket. So, instead, I used one of my $5 gift cards that I got for free through Swagbucks.

So, actually, I went shopping, got my charger, and didn't pay a penny.

That's what I consider a good deal.

Coupon Alert: Ace Ice Pack

There is a great $1/1 ACE hot or cold pack printable coupon here. You should be able to print two of them.

Of course, we know how many times I have been to Rite Aid in the last week, so I checked the trial section and sure enough there was a single pack ACE cold pack. Price $1.29. I used my 20% Wellness and paid just $.03 after the coupon. Even without it $.29 is not bad.

Gap Family Stores: Gap Give & Get Starts Today

I let you know about the Gap Give & Get program the other day.

Basically, you go shopping with this 30% off coupon and 5% of your total goes to Feeding America [[the charity I selected]].

That coupon is good numerous times in store. If you'd rather shop online, send me an email at drugstoredivalisa(at)gmail.com. I've got a couple invites left -- and the invites come with a one-time only online code. What a shame. I just found out that only my original one has an online code; the invites only have an instore barcode.

The coupon starts today and is good through Sunday, August 29. You can use it at Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, and the outlets. Sounds like a great excuse -- and great cause -- to shop.

Coupon Alert: John Frieda

Beth is the tearpad super sleuth. She can sniff them out like a bloodhound.

So I found a tearpad, and Beth convinced me she already had these coupons. But I'm still kinda thinking maybe she's thinking of others because these are the first I saw.

Anyway, I was walking through CVS and found $3/2 John Frieda coupons, which don't expire until January 31, 2011. Yes, 2011.

John Frieda goes on sale quite a bit, so I took a couple in anticipation of good deals. You might wanna too if you find the tearpad.

CVS: I Went Shopping

I've brought it up a bit lately, but in case this is new to you: I babysit my grandma's CVS card. I usually pick up the free things, but sometimes, she'll let me know what she wants.

And she hasn't stopped letting me know that she wants Olay complete moisturizer since this all started.

So this trip, it wasn't that exciting, but it'll be to my grandma.

I got ...

$7.99 -- Blink Tears
$7.29 -- Olay Complete
Total: $15.28

Coupons:
$5/$15
$1.50 Blink Tears printable
$1 Olay coupon from Rouge magazine
Total: $7.50

Total after coupons: $7.78

I paid with ecb. She got back $7.99 for the Blink and $1 for her Green Bag Tag, so actually, she made money on the deal.

Rite Aid: Guide

One of our readers recently asked how single check rebates work. Sure I know all about them but it got me thinking we needed a guide to Rite Aid for our great readers. Here are the highlights I came up with. If you have anything else to add please email me or feel free to comment!

Single Check Rebates
Buy participating Single check Rebate products, then submit your receipts online and get a check in the mail. Rite Aid almost always has great products each week for free. Combine with a coupon and you are looking at a nice money maker. Limit of one Single Check Rebate per household.

Visit Rite Aid's website here to register. Single Check Rebates usually run for a month, you can view the ad online or get the hard copy in your store. You will need to pay attention to what week the Single Check Rebates are valid. Sometime they are valid for a month, sometimes they are only valid for a week or just a few days. Most of the time the limit is just one.

As you buy the Single Check Rebate items, go to the website and enter your receipt information. It really only takes a minute or two. At the end of the rebate month, click to request your refund. You can only request the refund once so make sure you have entered all your receipts.

The rebates will clear about 48 hours after the purchase. I always wait to enter mine just in case there is a problem, I would never remember. But if a receipt doesn't clear, just call Rite Aid's customer service. They are so helpful.

Rite Aid Store Coupons
One of my favorite things about Rite Aid is they have store coupons that you can stack with manufacturers coupons. They have store coupons on their website, sometimes they mail them to you or you can find them in store. There is almost always an in-ad store coupons in their sales ad.

Rite Aid also has the Video Values coupons. Most of the videos are pretty short. All you have to do is click on the video and watch. You can't click anything else on your computer or the video stops. They do actually want you to watch. But for 20 seconds. No biggie. After you earn 20 video credits, you get a bonus $5 off $20 in-store purchase coupon. Video Values coupons are also considered Rite Aid store coupons. You can only print each coupon once.

My Rite Aid
Sign up here for the my Rite Aid program. Once you sign up for the program, you will receive coupon instantly in your inbox. You can also check your My Rite Aid periodically for more coupons. If you use Rite Aid for your pharmacy, you can enter your pharmacy profile and track your prescriptions.

Rite Aid Corporate Coupon Policy
Visit here for our post about the updated Corporate Coupon policy effective August 2010.

Wellness Program

The Wellnes Program is new for Rite Aid, it just started in April 2010. It is like the CVS ExtraCare Card and your local grocery stores shoppers club card. I like it! Now that I am at 20% discount level, how could I not! In order to get the sale prices and discounts, you need the card.

Be sure to sign up here, for free of course. You need your card with you in order to receive the benefits.

Here are the details:
* $5/$25 coupon for signing up
* Earn one point for every dollar spent for non-prescription purchases.
* Earn 25 points for every prescription you have filled.
* 10% off Rite Aid products
* 10% off shopping pass for every 125 points up to 375
* 500 point level gets 10% off all non-script purchases everyday along with Free
blood sugar and cholestrol screenings at Quest Diagnostics
* 1,000 point level gets 20% off all non-script purchased everyday

Your discounts are available until the end of the calendar year. If you use your Wellness card for a sale item, you will receive either the sale price or the discount price, whichever is lower. Visit Rite Aid's Wellness website for all the fine details.

+Up Rewards
You need a Wellness Card for the +Up rewards. Basically, they are rewards that print on your receipt. Some of them are from items you buy. Like when Coke is $5 and gives back $1 in +Up Rewards. Most of the time the limit is one. +Up rewards are also coupons that print on your receipt. You can also access your Wellness Program info online where you can print out coupons, usually $1/$10 worth of oral care, etc.

Walgreens: Photo Deals

Yet another great Walgreens photo deal! This one was on the drugstore's Facebook page and is only good for today, Tuesday August 25. Hurry to Walgreens' photo website for your own free purse book.

Enter the code FBBOOK at checkout. You will have to have this shipped, cheapest is $2.99. Not bad.

Dots: My New Faves

I tried on a pair of jeggings last summer and I fell in love. They were super comfortable, super incredible, and definitely would have caught a lot of eyes.

But the longer I wore them, the longer I laughed at myself. Who was I kidding? I'm not in high school and I don't live in Hollywood. I couldn't pull of jeggings. So I hung them back up and went on my merry way.

Now, everyone is selling jeggings, including Dots, which is selling them starting at $10.

Right now, if you buy them -- or anything -- at Dots, use these coupons. You can save $5 off a $25 purchase, $10 off $25 and $15 of $50 between now and Sunday, August 29.

And if you happen to buy jeggings in my size, I'll give you my address. I can't justify buying them, but I can accept them as a gift.

Free Sample: U By Kotex

We've talked about how I'm not crazy about the U By Kotex line. But I'm even less crazy about paying for feminine products. I haven't in, geez, about half a decade at this point and I'm not about to start now.

So, to keep up that trend, I have no shame requesting a free sample of U By Kotex. Head over to this link and you can get a free sample from Walmart.

Speaking of, if you actually buy these at Walmart, most have a sticker on them for free songs from Walmarts mp3 site. Head over to that sample link, enter your code, and you'll be able to get some music.

If you don't know what to get, I can give you a few fantastic options.

CVS: Blink And You'll Miss It

I've been sitting here a while, trying to figure out what the heck I can say about blink tears.

I've been thinking about writing about tired eyes, drunk eyes, Irish eyes. Yeah, I've got nothing.

So we'll just jump right into this.

CVS has Blink Tears on sale this week [[ending 08/28]] for $7.99. You'll get $7.99 back in ecb, making this free. If you head over to this link, you'll be able to print out a coupon for $1.50, making this a moneymaker.

Tuesday, August 24, 2010

Rite Aid: Free Bengay

Rite Aid has another great in-ad coupon this week [[ending 08/28]]. There is a $3 off Bengay in-ad coupon. There are also those great $2 blinkie Bengay coupons.

Prices start at $5.49 for the Bengay cream in my store. Oh and did I mention there is a $1 +UP reward! This is a great start for Rite Aid, you have a small money maker and now SCR to deal with. With the wellness 10% or 20% discount, you are looking at an even bigger money maker.

And The Winner Is ...

Congrats goes out to Betty, the winner of our Macaroni Grill frozen entree giveaway.

Of all the entries, random.org picked number 1. I know people always hate to be the first to enter because people don't think 1 ever gets picked, but it did this time.

Don't worry if you didn't win. We've got a few giveaways in the works that you'll be thrilled to enter.

Christopher & Banks: Tuesday Only

I've never actually been inside a Christopher and Banks store, I don't think. But, judging from the clothes in the emails and the clothes I wear, I can kinda see why that's a possibility.

But not everyone shops at the stores I do, so if you're a C&Bs fan, I've got a deal for you. You can save 40% off one item today [[August 24]] only. In store or online.

You don't even need a coupon. You'll get 40% off the highest priced item. You can't combine this with any other coupons, but you can combine it with Friendship Reward Certificates, whatever those are.

Coupon Alert: Lumene

I was walking around the face cream aisle at CVS to pick up some Olay for my grandma when I noticed coupons for Lumene hanging.

They were in the middle of the aisle and they're $2 off any Lumene product. They don't expire until September 30, 2010, so you probably wanna pick a few up to hold onto for the next sale.

Rite Aid: I Went Shopping

I told you about the Huggies deal at Rite Aid. Well, it was so good, I couldn't pass it up! Before Lisa can even ask, I am planning to put them into my donation baskets for my SPCA.

You need a few printable coupons but really it is so simple! Follow the links below. There are two separate Video Value coupons so it is legit. I bought all three Huggies at once and all three +UP rewards printed. I didn't know if the Pure & Natural was included or I would have printed two of them to make this $.50 less.

I bought:
1 Huggies Little Movers - $8.99
1 Huggies Little Snugglers - $8.99
1 Huggies Pure & Natural - $8.99
Total = $26.97

Coupons:
$5/$25 Rite Aid
$2 Huggies Video Value
$2 Huggies Video Value
$2.50 Pure & Natural Printable
$2 Huggies Little Snugglers Printable
$2 Huggies Little Snugglers Printable
Total OOP = $11.47

SCR/+UP:
$2 +UP
$2 +UP
$2 +UP
$5 SCR for Kimberly Clarke

Total = $.47

Monday, August 23, 2010

Rite Aid: Diaper Deal

Huggies jumbo pack of diapers, Pull-Ups or Goodnites are on sale at Rite Aid for $8.99. They are giving $2 back in +Up rewards. There is also a $2 Rite Aid video value coupon. Combine those two and you are only paying $4.99.

But there is a $1.50/1 Huggies diapers coupon. There is a $2/1 Goodnites coupon or a $2/1 Pull-Ups coupon. The best deal is to buy the Goodnites or Pull-Ups and only pay $2.99.

This will also count towards the Kimberly Clark single check rebate, get $5 gift card when you spend $25. +Up rewards are limited to one per household so you may not be able to get these more than once. But even still a good buy.

Gap Family Stores: Give And Get

I swear I know how to spell my last name. I really do. And I know how to type it too. You wouldn't know that judging from my Gap Give and Get coupons.

See, I signed up fast when I got the offer and definitely spelled my last name wrong.

Totally lame.

What's not lame is that if you head to this link, you can print out a coupon to save 30% off your total Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Gap Outlet, or Banana Republic Outlet store from August 26 to 29.

Also, when you save, 5% of your purchase will be donated to Feeding America, the charity that I chose.

You can print out the coupon with from the link above. If you need an invite with an online code, email me [[drugstoredivalisa(at)gmail.com]] and I'll be happy to pass along all my remaining invites.
