Rite Aid: Good Deal Alert -- Band-Aids

Rite Aid has Band-Aid brand bandages on sale this week [[ending 05/01]] for just $1.99. There is an id-ad Rite Aid coupon for $.50/1. That brings your total down to $1.49. My papers had a $1/1 Band-Aid coupon. That means just 49 cents for me. Other places got the $.50/1 coupon. Even that this is a good deal.

I also found a ton of coupons for a free first aid kit when you buy three Band-Aid brand items. This will be a cheap way to get my own kit via mail in coupon.

Free Music: Free Amazon Download From Toyota

I'm in love with the song Breakeven from The Script.

It's one of those songs that pierces your heart, straight to your soul, and makes time stop as you listen. You know what I mean.

That still doesn't mean I wanna pay for the song or anything. So I've been holding out for a deal. And, luckily, Toyota found me one.

If you head over to this link and become a fan of Toyota on Facebook, you can head over to this link and get a code good for a free $1.29 download on Amazon.

Click the "Redeem" box on that page and it'll open up on Amazon where you wanna enter your code. Now, the only thing is you need to use your code by tonight [[April 30]] so pick your favorite song quick. If you think too long, your credit will expire.

Actually, I just read the fine print and it says it will expire on April 30, 2011, but I think that's more of a typo than a guarantee.

CVS: Spring For Irish Spring

CVS actually has an extra bucks offer that is not just limit one. Softsoap or Irish Spring body wash is on sale for $2.99 and is giving back $2 in extra bucks. The limit this time is two.

The best deal I can see is to buy two Irish Spring body washes for $2.99 each, total will be $5.98. CVS will give you back $4 in extra bucks. If you use the $1/2 Irish Spring coupons or the $.50/1 [[depending what you got]] from the 04/25 inserts, you are only paying 99 cents for both.

If you have the Reinventing Beauty magazine, there is a $1/1 coupon for Irish Spring and one for Softsoap, making this free.

And, don't forget: The limit on this deal is eight. Yes, eight.

Meijer: Good Deal Alert -- V-8 Fusion

If you're a Meijer shopper, you're gonna wanna pay attention to this.

Melissa from Stockpiling Moms emailed me this morning to let me know that V-8 Fusion is on sale 2/$4 at Meijer, through Saturday. You can print a $1/1 coupon here and here. That'll bring you down to $1 a bottle.

But, there's a $1/2 Meijer Mealbox coupon that expires today [[April 30]]. So, combine all those and you're looking at 50 cents a bottle.

Run, don't walk, to get in on this one.

CVS: Brushing For Free

My friend and I were headed to CVS last night. So, while I was waiting for her to pick me up, I was looking through my coupons for an Oral B coupon.

I found the one I was looking for, but I found an even better one.

In the most recent P&G insert, there is a coupon for $2/1 Oral B Cross Action toothbrush. Why is this so great? Because they're on sale for $2.99 this week [[ending 05/01]] at CVS and giving back $1 in ecb. Well, if you use the $2 coupon, you're looking at a free toothbrush.

But you have to hurry. The coupon expires today. So hurry up and start brushing.

Old Navy: Weekend Sale

Old Navy is having a great sale this weekend [[ending 05/02]]. The commercials for it have been running like crazy in my area. They are pretty funny with this little emcee guy telling a little kid the sale is 30% off everything in the store. Not including him.

So if you need some new jeans, flip-flops, t-shirts or anything else you might find at Old Navy this is the weekend to shop.

And, if you're like Lisa and you've got free Old Navy gift cards thanks to Shop It To Me burning a hole in your pocket, this is the time to use them.

What's also great about this sale is last time Old Navy had this sale, even clearance items were 30% off -- yup, that emcee guy did mean everything but him.

You might even be able to use your Barker's Bones coupon. You might not [[we haven't tried]] but it's worth a shot.

Giveaway Reminder: Stop And Shop Giftcard

Just a little reminder that our Stop & Shop gift card giveaway ends tonight [[April 30]]. If you want in, you better head over to this link and enter. You're running out of time!

Garage Sale This Saturday

It's finally upon us. What is? The eve of my annual garage sale [[yup, annual; there was one last year]]. I've taught my mom how to stockpile so well, there's no room for things anymore. Plus, we still have some stuff that we forgot to bring out last year. And Beth might make an appearance with her stuff. So we're having a garage sale at my mom's house on Grandview Avenue in Nanuet, New York. If you're in the area, you are totally more than welcome to come by.

Last year I made a cookie cake. Maybe I will this year. Now I want a piece.

I hung signs on Wednesday night, but they all blew down by Thursday. So, I dunno how attendance will be, but we'll see.

The garage sale is Saturday, May 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.-ish. If no one shows, we'll close up shop early. So stop by, hang out, chat me up, buy some shampoo. It'll be fun.

Freebie Friday: Photos, Aveeno, And More

Another week, another weekend coming up. Speaking of weekends, what are you doing tomorrow? We've got a post going up later, but, a preview now: If you're in the Rockland County, New York area, I'm having a garage sale on Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm [[or until we get bored I guess]]. If you're around, stop by.

And now, on to your freebies:

Old Navy: Barker's Bones

Does this post look familiar? It should, it is pretty much the same one we have been running every Thursday since Barker's Bones started. I never remember stuff so this is a good way to remind myself and all the Drugstore Divas followers to log in and score their coupons.

Weekly reminder that the Barker's Bones tab is open again for new coupons. You need to be a friend of Old Navy on Facebook to play along.

Once you are a friend of Old Navy on Facebook [[and we hope you are our friend too]], click on the tab Barker's Bones. You can throw him a bone and "dig" for some great coupons.

Target: Pedigree Price Cut

Target has a great deal on Pedigree dry dog food. Pedigree is on price cut from $12.39 to $8.49 at my store. This is on the 8.8lb bag. That's almost $4 off. Now since this is on price cut, it may not be at all stores, and it can end at anytime so if you have furry friends that eat Pedigree head over to Target.

Before you go, make sure you take the $2/1 coupon for Pedigree dry dog food 8.8lbs or larger coupon. They were in a few of the inserts lately so hopefully you have them. That will bring the costs down to just $6.49 a bag. Basically, half price.

CVS: Intimately Smooth

I'm not crazy about the Schick Intuition. I got it and I thought the big soap-bar-like moisture bar would be great. And it was the first time or two. Then it got super saturated and fell off way before the blades in the razor were ready to retire.

If you like the Schick Intuition, I've got a deal for you. And if you don't, worry not. The Schick Quattro is on sale at CVS this week [[ending 05/01]] too.

Both razors are on sale for $8.99 and giving back $4 in ecb, making it appear to be $4.99. But, in Sunday's inserts, there was a coupon for $4 off, making it 99 cents.

My mom picked up a Quattro, which had two extra cartridges in the pack. Her logic was that she just paid a dollar for three razors. I guess, technically, that's right. And a pretty decent way to justify the buck.

Coupon Alert: Soft Scrub

Joy from Coupon Connoisseur has been doing a lot of cleaning lately, as you can tell from her owning the comments in one of our posts the other day.

So, leave it to her to find a great cleaning product coupon.

If you join the Soft Scrub Club here, you can print out a bogo coupon for the Total Kitchen or Total Bath & Bowl. Now, I'm a little sour on the Soft Scrub Club because the club didn't pick me to be a captain [[don't they realize what an awesome ambassador they're missing out on?]], but you can print the coupon if you'd like.

Update: Free Sample: Samy Deep Conditioning Treatment

Update: Seems like they're all out.

We've chatted in the past about ShopText freebies and how much I like them because one] they're easy and two] they always come.

Well, it just got better because Sean from Free Snatcher emailed me to let me know there's a new ShopText freebie out right now.

Text SAMY1 to 467467 for a free sample of Samy Deep Conditioning Treatment. After you text, you'll be asked for your email address. After your reply, your sample will be on its way.

Now, make sure you put the 1 on the end. I forgot at first, and the samples without the one are out.

Rite Aid: Cottonelle

I'm really not sure how this happened but we were down to our last four-pack of Cottonelle in my house. I needed to do a tp run! Good thing Rite Aid has Cottonelle on sale this week [[ending 05/01]].

Cottonelle Double Roll 20-pack is on sale at for $10.99. There are $1/1 coupons. In case you don't have them, you can print a $.50/1 coupon. There were also $1/1 Rite Aid Video Value coupons. You can combine that with the manufacturers coupons and you are looking at just $8.99 for basically 40 rolls.

I also got a $1 off $10 purchase of household items from my Wellness card. My store let me use that and the video value coupon. Your mileage may vary on that.

CVS: You Should Be In Movies

This is a great coupon.

One 2 One Network emailed me to let me know that if you head to this link, you can print out a bogo coupon for a Kodak DVD.

Why is that a good coupon? Because this week [[ending 05/01]], CVS has the DVDs on bogo sale. After sale and coupon, yup, you're looking at two free photo DVDs.

I made these a few summers back when they were free at CVS. I wasn't crazy about them, but they were pretty decent. Probably better if you actually have photos you're dying to put on DVD.

Carvel: Shot Of Flavor

I went to get 31 cent ice cream last night. How could I not?

Okay, yeah, I've been sick lately, but not that sick.

And not too sick to head over to get my free ice cream today [[April 29]]. I've been anticipating it since we brought it up last week.

Carvel is giving out a 3.5 oz cup of its new low-fat ice cream, plus a flavor shot -- which comes in 12 flavors: Acai Berry, Banana, Black Raspberry, Blueberry, Bubble Gum, Cotton Candy, Mango, Mint, Orange, Peach, Pistachio, and Pomegranate.

So, before I head over, what flavor shot should I try? I love pistachio ice cream, but I'm leaning towards pomegranate because I'm sick and all.

Update: Coupon Alert: 7 Up

Update: It's gone now. Hope you were up last night to print it.

During Kmart doubles, everyone was being Chatty Cathy about this 7 Up coupon. When I heard about it, there weren't any prints. So, I've been stalking it. Which is funny because I don't drink soda unless I have a stomach ache [[case and point: my ginger ale next to me right now]]. So, why I wanted this so bad, I don't know.

But, if you head to this link, you can print out a pair of $1/1 coupons, good on a 20 oz bottle, 2-liter bottle, or 6-pack [[1/2-liter bottle]] of 7 Up. Sounds great.

Free Sample: U By Kotex

We posted about the new U by Kotex free samples once before, but lovely reader Karen emailed me, just double checking that we didn't miss out.

Well, I signed up at this link, and wouldn't you know, it worked. So it looks like the sample is open again ... even for those of us who already got this in the mail.

The best part is that the sample I already received had a $1/1 coupon ... which I'll be sure to use in two weeks at CVS [[hint, hint]]. Now, the chance of this new sample and coupon coming before that sale is over is slim, but hey, if not, there will be another sale right around the corner, I bet.

CVS: Going Nude

I got a tip from the always helpful Recessionista at Nouveau Cheap to try out Revlon's Nude Slip eyeshadow. She raved about it in an email to me and in a post on her blog here [[which contains the image I'm using for this post, so double thanks to her!]].

I wanted to try the eyeshadow out, but I definitely wanted to wait for a deal first.

So, I went to CVS and out from the scanner printed a $3/1 Revlon CRT. Okay, we were getting warmer, but the eyeshadow is $4.99. Not free.

Until this Sunday ... when there was a $2/1 coupon in the inserts. Now I'm looking at free eyeshadow.

There is a rumored deal next week [[starting 05/02]] that you'll get $3 back when you buy $10 of Revlon at CVS. I'm thinking about holding out for that, but curiosity is getting the best of me.

Free Sample: Aveeno Nourish Hair Care

Another great Facebook freebie! This time it is a free sample of Aveeno Nourish shampoo and conditioner. You will also get a coupon with your free sample.

You have to be a fan of Aveeno on Facebook to qualify. Once you are a fan, head over here to enter your mailing address and information. Also, you must be over 18 for this sample. Hurry supplies are limited.

Walgreens: More Stayfree

I am loving this deal at Walgreens! Stayfree maxi pads 18 to 24 count are on sale for $2.99. Walgreens is giving you back $2.99 in register rewards. Now you can only buy one at a time. Otherwise, you can do this deal as many times as you want.

There are coupons to turn this into a nice money maker. There are Stayfree $2/1 and $1/1. Either coupon will score you some extra pocket change.

Baskin Robbins: We've Got The Scoop

Today is my aunt's favorite day.

Now, not Wednesday. But 31 Cent Scoop Night at Baskin Robbins.

Just like last year, you can get three scoops for a mere 31 cents each between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. at all Baskin Robbins locations. All the proceeds benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation [[last year it was the National Volunteer Fire Council's National Junior Firefighter Program that benefited ... are you noticing a trend?]].

I looked at the comment I wrote last year, and apparently I got I got Heath, Reese's Peanut Butter, and Rocky Road. And wasn't nuts about the last two. But my mom liked her Pralines and Cream ... in case that helps you decide which of Baskin Robbins' 31 flavors to try out.

Harris Teeter: Good Deal Alert -- Triples

Rumor floating around the Internet is that Harris Tetter is having triples starting today and going through May 4.

Now, I don't have a Harris Teeter in my area, so I don't have an ad to check this and get all the juicy details.

So, if you know what's up, please let us know.

Referral Wednesday: Gather

A pair of my friends had mentioned Gather to me. At first, I was kinda disinterested. You had to write articles and get paid gift cards. I had signed up with something similar in the past and never did enough to reach a cash out. Then that program changed and I abandoned what money I had accrued.

But then my friend had a post go viral, and it got over 5,000 views on Gather and 4,000 page views for her blog. I had to check it out.

So, I signed up. I wrote a few posts and they had views ranging from 8 to 24. Well, I was kinda over it. So I abandoned the site for a few days. I went back in and one of my posts had gone viral ... and got over 1300 views in the process. I was hooked.

Basically, you write posts. They get views. Every so 20 to 30 earns you a point. Since the majority of my posts hit at least 300 views, that's at least 10 points per article [[one of my posts did hit over 13,000 views, which earned me in the range of 400 points]]. Then, you turn your points in for gift cards to stores like CVS or Amazon. You need 625 points for a $10 gift card.

After a month of playing, I had enough points [[1565]] for a $25 Amazon gift card. Is that the norm? Probably not. That one post helped a lot. But, I figure I'm cashing out $25 a month at Swagbucks, and I totally support that site ... and at least Gather is putting my celebrity gossip knowledge to good use.

Free Sample:World's Best Cat Litter

While the name sure is catchy, I don't know how true it is. But I printed out my try World's Best Cat Litter for free coupon. With three cats, what do I have to lose?

Visit here to print your own mail in rebate for World's Best Cat Litter. The rebate is for up to $12.99 good on a 7 or 8 lb bag of World's Best Cat Litter Clumping or Multiple Cat Clumping.

Even if you don't have a cat, you can always buy this and donate it to your local animal shelter. They will be so thrilled with the donation and it will only cost you the stamp.

Free Sample: Free Digital Prints

I hate paying to print my photos. I used to not mind getting film developed, but that was back when I had no other choice. If I wanted to see those 24 pictures [[or 27 if the roll went a little long]], I had to pay.

Now that I can see my pictures on a viewfinder, well, I don't need to develop them.

But, since York Photo is offering free prints, well, sign me up. And sign you up too. If you head over to this link, you can get 20 free prints off the bat.

If you use promo code YMW4CP at checkout, you can get 20 additional free prints and pay 4 cents for the prints you want, if you want more.

That's a really good deal for pictures.

If you spend $20 or more, you'll get free shipping too. But, with a print for less than a nickle, it might take you an entire memory card to get free shipping.

Full disclosure: This post contains an affiliate link.

CVS: Take A Trip To Milani

I got sick yesterday. Like total stomach in knots, pain in my chest, total body shutdown sick. So, needless to say, I didn't get to CVS to scan my card [[you know new coupons print on Mondays, right?]].

Luckily, the alway on top of this Recessionista from Nouveau Cheap emailed me to let me know she got a fantastic CRT: Buy one Milani lip product, get one free. What to buy, what to buy, right? Well, she has an incredible post [[which is where we borrowed the image for this post, by the way]] about the Milani cosmetics at CVS. But, with this CRT, you're limited to lip products.

No worries. The Nouveau Cheap readers have raved about the Milani 3D Glosses, which, according to CVS' Web site, retail for $6.99 [[okay, I just looked; you can see that in the image too]].

Eh, $6.99 for two? Take it or leave it, right? But it gets better. This week [[ending 05/01]], CVS has Milani products on bogo50%. So now it's looking like $6.99 for one, $3.49 for a second. And the CRT will pay for the higher-value item, so it'll take off the full retail. Now you're looking at $3.49 for a pair.

The only thing that would make this better is if there was a coupon floating around somewhere. But, alas, I haven't found a printable anywhere online. Maybe you got lucky and have something from somewhere? If you do, let us know.

Walgreens: Free Skintimate

You can always tell who write a post for the Drugstore Divas by the titles. Mine are lame and really just what the post is about. Lisa is all creative and comes up with these great titles. I just can't come up with anything. What really matters are the deals we come up with right?

This one is another free after register reward from Walgreens. Skintimate shave cream is on sale for $2.99 and Walgreens is giving you back $2.99 in register rewards. More free Skintimate shave cream for my collection.

Save A Lot: Save A Bunch

If you've got a Save A Lot in your area, you're gonna wanna pay attention to this post.

Sarah from Sarah's Deals emailed me to let me know that if you sign up for the Smart Shoppers Club, you'll get a $5/$25 coupon for Save A Lot.

If you're already a member, you can still get the coupon. All you have to do is refer five of your friends [[those who shop at Save A Lot would be ideal]], and you'll be set.

Target: Buy Bertolli

In the 4/25 inserts, there was a really great Target store coupon insert. All those coupons can be combined with a manufacturers coupon to help you save even more. There is a $.75/2 Bertolli pasta sauce Target coupon.

Also in the 4/25 inserts, there was a $1.50/2 Bertolli pasta sauce manufacturer coupon. Target has Bertolli pasta sauce on sale for $1.84 each. Combine the Target coupon and the manufacturers coupon adn you are only paying $1.43 for two. And $71 for Bertolli is a really good price.

Free Sample: Free Address Labels

I have a large extended family of in-laws. None of them live within my state or even within my time zone. That means lots of birthday cards, thank you notes, etc., to them. My best friend and her daughter live in Florida. Again, even more cards. And then there are the mail in rebates. Sometimes I think us couponers and people like me who still send Christmas cards keep the post office in business.

With all these cards being sent, I always need return labels. I never seem to have enough of them. But thanks to Vista Print, if you visit them here, we can all get an order of free return address labels.

You also get to choose your own design for the labels. Personalize them any way you want. There are over 600 options to pick from. You will receive 140 of them for free. I picked the cutest black cat with a white scarf. You will have to pay for shipping, and the cheapest option is only $2.95. Still a really good deal. I can't wait to get these!

Insant Win Game: Colgate For Mom's Day

If you have a mother -- and there's a good chance you do -- you're gonna call her for Mother's Day. And if you call her for a mere ten minutes, well, she's probably not gonna be very happy with you for cutting it short.

But, you might not be able to afford more than that.

Or even that.

And, if that's the case, head over to this link for Colgate's instant win game where you can win a 10-minute calling card. And if you win, you've got The Freebie Blogger to thank.

I won, and the pin number came immediately to my email. I'm gonna send it down to my grandma because, you know, I have free long distance on my cell phone, but she uses a calling card for her long distance, so this will help her out a ton.

CVS: Half Baked

I was in CVS with my best friend the other day and we walked past the Perfect Brownie Pan. You know, the thing that has the metal cutouts so you can make perfectly cut brownies. So, as I passed it, I said to him, "If you need to get me a gift for anything, this is what I want."

He replied, "No," and kept walking.

Totally lame, right?

Maybe I'll get it for myself. See, this week [[ending 05/02]], the Perfect Brownie Pan is $19.99 and giving back $3 in ecb. That makes it $16.99. Now, it's still a bit expensive. Plus, I have a nice pan to bake in. And it's not the end of the world to cut brownies. But, you know, still, it's something maybe worth spending ecb on.

Maybe not.

Do you have one? Do you use it? Help a blogger out here.

Coupon Alert: Ortho EcoSense Product

I opened up my email from Home Depot and there was a bogo coupon for Ortho EcoSense products. There were also coupons for soil and pool tablets.

Now, truth be told, I can't use any of this stuff, but I have the newsletter in case you, our dear readers, can use any of it.

The trouble, though, is the coupons are for single use by me only [[yup, they have my name on them]]. If you get the Home Depot newsletter, great. You've got the coupon in your email. If you're not on the store's email list, head over to this link and sign up.

Walgreens: Free Allergy Relief [[Again]]

I was really excited again to see a deal on Benadryl Allergy, Sudafed or Tylenol Cold at Walgreens. They were just on sale a few weeks ago.

They are all on sale for $4.99. Buy two selected Sudafed, Benadryl or Tylenol Cold products and you get $5 back in register rewards. I was thinking I would get the Sudafed since I have $2/1 coupons.

In the 4/11 inserts, there is a $5/2 coupon. Use that coupon and you are getting two free allergy relief items from Walgreens. I didn't get to use all my coupons like I wanted to the last time, I will for sure this week!

Michaels: Get What's Left

I went to my final cake class yesterday, and I learned some things. The first was that I'm not nearly as good at cakes as I'd like to be. But, there is a learning curve and I'm much better than I was this time last week. And exorbitantly better than I was this time last month.

I also learned that Michael's still has Easter stuff. And now, it's 90% off.

Of course, it will vary by store, but my Michael's had lots of egg dye, felt hats, and a cute egg-shaped tray with egg-shaped cutouts.

I didn't buy anything, but if you're looking for that last bit of something, you might have found the spot.

Mail Call Monday

I got a few magazines this week. I thought I'd be most excited about Spin because there was a time in my life when I was a music writer and I lived at concerts. But, really, I got Website magazine too, and I'm more excited about that because it'll help me and Beth make Drugstore Divas the best it can be.

This week, I got ...

Spin magazine

Website magazine

Puffs tissues from Vocalpoint

Ritz Munchables sample and coupon

Acme coupons

Stride gum

Endurance Fuel from who knows where

U by Kotex sample pack

Coupon Alert: Marie Callendar's Asian Recipes Or Pasta Al Dente

I'm Asian ... but I'm not into Asian food. I know, it's a shame. I do like fast food Chinese, but that's not quite authentic.

But, since nearly everyone else I know loves Asian, this coupon will probably come in handy. Head to this link and print out a $1/1 coupon for Marie Callendar's Asian Recipies. It's also good on Pasta Al Dente, which is good for me.

If we find a great deal on this, we'll let you know. And you do the same.

CVS: Anti-Sun Poisoning

I went to see the Mets a few weekends ago, and it was cold. Really cold. Like I was wishing for my winter jacket.

And, later, I was wishing I had worn sunscreen.

I keep telling people I got sun poisoning. If I did or not, I don't know, but it sure felt like I had the flu. It was awful. So, now, I'm telling everyone to use SPF anything ... and keep it close.

Luckily, CVS has a sale this week [[ending 05/01]] on sunscreen. Buy two CVS brand sunscreens, get $5 back in ecb. Now, since I wanna keep it in my purse from now on, I picked up two bottles of SPL 30 in 2 oz. bottles. They were $2.19 each. And guess what? The $5 printed. Oh super amazing.

Yes, this is a small moneymaker. But it could also be a lifesaver.

Target: Today's Trip

I had such a good day at Target today. I was looking through my coupon inserts and the $1/1 Tide and $1/1 Satin Care shave gel expire on 4/30. Neither of these coupons state a size restriction so they work on trial sizes. We know Target has a great trial section. My store adjusts the coupon to the price of them item so they were all free.

The Betty Crocker muffin mix was on sale from $2.78 to $2. I had two of the $.50/1 muffin mix coupon for them. I love blueberry bread and the Betty Crocker is the best so I had to buy two of them! Also just in case Target didn't adjust down the coupon, I needed to buy something. I only paid for the jelly the rest was free after the coupons.

I bought:
9 - Satin Care - $.99 each - used $1/1 coupon
8 - Tide travel size - $.97 each - used $1/1 coupon
2 - Betty Crocker Muffin Mix - $2 each - used $.50 each coupon
Total out of pocket - $3.12

Stop And Shop: New Store In New City

I went to the Walgreens in New City, New York, and the parking lot was a maze. The only things that are still opened in the old Bradlees plaza are Walgreens and McDonald's, and there's construction all over.

About a year and a half ago, there was a story in the paper that said CVS was heading into that plaza, but no ground has broken on that.

However, the parking lot is totally walled off like an obstacle course. And, when you finally find where Bradlees was, there's a sign saying Stop & Shop is coming. It doesn't say when or anything like that [[although the rumor swirling around Walgreens over the weekend was it's opening in November]], but it'll be good for the plaza I think. Right now, it's totally a ghost town.

But, New City already has ShopRite and DeCiccos, so I don't really think it can sustain another grocery store, so who knows.

Rite Aid: Stayfree For Free

I am going to need a bigger cabinet of where I store "those girl items" as my husband so nicely refers to them. Seriously I am overstocked from the last deal at Rite Aid. And I swear ever time my mom comes over, I share with her too.

But Rite Aid has more Stayfree for free this week [[ending 05/01]]. And can you believe it is almost May! The deal is Stayfree Pads 16 to 24 count are on sale for $1.99. The ad says to use the $1/1 coupon, which is in today's inserts. That makes them 99 cents each. Not bad.

But if you still have the $2/1 coupons [[glad I do]], you will be getting them for free.

Rite Aid: Sham-pain

If you want to make Rite Aid's Dove deal worth it this week [[ending 05/02]], you need to get out to the store today.

See, the Dove coupon expires today [[April 25]]. And that's the only way you're getting a good deal on this.

If you buy two Dove shampoos, conditioners, or stylers for $6, you'll get back $3 in a scr, making it $3 for two.

Well, if you have any of the $1.50/1 coupons left, use two of those and you're looking at free shampoo. If you have the $2.50/2 coupon, you're looking at 50 cents for the pair.

The coupon is what makes or breaks this deal, so you better run out now.

Sunday Speak: Do You Vacuum?

It seems like we should all have lots of free cleaning products, you know, paper towels, cleanser, soaps, laundry detergent, all that stuff. I have three cats and two dogs so vacuuming is a huge part of cleaning for me. Probably the biggest chore.

A few years ago, we sprung for a Dyson vacuum. Yeah $400 later and the thing is awful. We certainly did not get our money's worth out of that. Where we used to live had commercial grade-like carpet so it was great. Now we have plush and Berber carpet and it doesn't pick anything up. You can literally go over the same spot five time before the Dyson picks anything up. I even wrote to them but the company never responded.

So now I am breaking down and buying a new vacuum. I knowTarget usually has some good deals so I went there but was a bit overwhelmed. I couldn't figure out what was the best one. Hoover, Electrolux, Bissell, Dirt Devil, there were tons of different brands. What kind should I buy? Anyone have suggestions? What kind do you use? Would you recommend your vacuum?

Pampers: New Gifts To Grow Code

For those of you collecting Pampers points, you're in luck.

For those of you not collecting Pampers points, maybe this is when you click here and sign up and start.

Why?

Because if you enter the code GTGSPRINGFREE10 in, you'll get 10 free Gift to Grow points. Now, if you've been collecting points for a long time, you'll know this is really one point in the old system. But it sounds so much better to get 10 free points.

Swagbucks did the same thing and changed its points to multiply by ten. I know people complained about it, but really, to me, it sounds better. And sound is sometimes all it takes.

Update: P&G Cooking Up Early Detection Mail in Rebate

Update: If you're looking for info on the 2010 rebate, check out this post.

It was back in November that we first told you about the Breast Cancer Awareness P&G mail in rebate. I did get a postcard in, maybe, January that they were behind in stock and I would get my free gift by June.

I had completely forgotten about this when I saw a package on my steps. P&G sent this via FedEx. What a great deal this turned out to be. I know I bought Iams dog food to qualify, which is something I use anyways. As you see in the picture, the free gift included a pink timer, a spatula, a set of measuring cups, and a really nice saute pan. The pan is great because it has a special handle and you can pick it up with both hands and not get burned. I really love this rebate!
