CVS: Febreze for Me

CVS has Febreze Air Effects on sale $2/5 during this week [[ending 12/05]]. If you spend $15 on certain Febreze products, you will get $5 back in ecbs. I love the Febreze Air Effects, so I tried to find the best deal so I can stock up on them. By the way, the Meadows and Rain scent is the best.

Here is what I came up with. There is a $1/1 coupon in the P&G insert that came out on 11/29. You will need six of those coupons to make this a good deal. I will buy six Febreze Air Effects for a total of $15. Then use the six $1/1 coupons to bring my out of pocket to $9. After CVS gives me $5 back in ecbs, I will only pay $4 for six. And 66 cents each is a pretty good price.

Good Deal Alert -- Marcal Small Steps Toilet Paper

This good deal alert is more of a reminder than anything else. There are coupons out there for free Marcal products. This very familiar coupon expires today, November 30.

Now, yes, the coupon will be around again, but that's no excuse to not pick up some free toilet paper. ShopRite has Marcal for a sticker price of 95 cents, making it free after the coupon [[which is up to $1]]. Check out your local stores and get your free t.p. before it's too late.

Cyber Monday: The Limited

Like Lisa, I'm running late. I have to get to to work. But my favorite store is having a great Cyber Monday deal. The Limited is having a sale online for 40% off everything. They are also giving you free shipping today, no code needed.

And if you spend $50 or more pre-tax, you will get a free pleated ruffle scarf. While supplies last of course. I would so much rather check out the Limited online sales but I'm off to work.

Gap Family Stores: Cyber Monday Deals

I really don't have time to make this a full post. I'm late. So I'll edit it later. But, for now, click this link, and you can get 20% off at Gap, Piperlime, Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Athleta today [[November 30]], Cyber Monday, with the online code MONDAY. You'll also get free shipping.

So you get shopping, I'll get to where I'm going, and we'll meet in the middle with an update post with a picture and some links and you can show me your shopping cart.

New York & Co: Half Full

I'm up early because I'm running out, so, surprisingly, this is a live post.

I have to run out to product test, then go to work, so my chances of getting any great Cyber Monday deals are pretty much zero. Unless I decide to get to product testing late and start shopping at New York & Co. online. I could have ... but then I wouldn't have had time to tel you about the deal. Look how much I love you.

Today [[November 30]] and today online, everything at New York & Co. is 50% off. According to the site, use promo code 4041 at checkout, and you can get free shipping.

Start shopping. And let us know what other Cyber Monday deals you find.

Rite Aid: Complete-ly Free

Complete Contact Solution is on sale at Rite Aid this week [[ending 12/05]] for $7.99. Rite Aid is giving you back $7.99 in single check rebates. Free Complete again.

There is that $1/1 coupon that will turn this into a money maker. In case you don't have the coupon, check the boxes at your Rite Aid. There were $1/1 peelies at my store.

CVS: Manual Labor

I don't know where you're reading his, or when you're reading this, but I know what you're going to do next, so it's like I can kind of see the future.

And what does your future hold? A trip to CVS today, November 30.

Oral-B Cross Action and Advantage toothbrushes are on sale for $2.99 and giving back $2 this week [[ending 12/05]]. But they're only free til today. Why? In the 10/11 and 11/01 P&G inserts, there were $1/1 coupons. Those coupons expire today.

So, you could lallygag and get the toothbrush later in the week, but then you'll actually be paying for that. And really? Who does that?

Free Sample: Always Fresh

I was reading Tis not too long ago, and there was a part that discussed a soldier whose gun hurt him when it rested on his shoulder.

To remedy the problem, he put a Kotex pad as a mock shoulder blade.

Now we know what to do with all the extra Kotex!

This freebie isn't for Kotex, but for Always Infinity, which is pretty much the same thing [[unless you ask the companies]]. Click this link and you'll be brought to the free sample page. Fill in your info and in a few weeks, you'll get a free pad. During that time, you can figure out what to do with it.

Target: Online Deals

I love the show NCIS. I just started watching the re-runs and it has quickly become my can't miss show. I want to buy the seasons on DVD, but wow they are so expensive. This morning [[11/29]], I opened the Target ad and was so excited! NCIS was on sale for $15, marked down from $49.95. I could not wait to get to Target. So I goofed off, wasting time until they opened.

I got there right at opening. There were no sale NCIS dvds. The nice electronics worker showed me the ad and that the two pages of deals were all online only. Man I was mad at myself for not noticing, for wasting time, and because I really wanted to watch them that day.

But all is well. I went online to Target and ordered the only two seasons, 1 and 2, that were $15. Shipping was free on any of the items from the ad. There were 104 total TV show DVD that were $15. There are some toys, pajamas, and electronics on sale as well. Click here to see all the online only, with free shipping deals good from today til Saturday, December 5.

Freebie: Betty Crocker For 2010

I love baking. If I could do anything for the rest of my life, it would be baking. There's a rumor that I'm going to start a baking blog a la Bakerella style, but that's in the far future. I'd never abandon Drugstore Divas for it, so you can ease your panic attack. But I figure if I out it on paper [[Web page?]] I'll have to do it one day.

I ramble about this now because the 2010 Betty Crocker calendar is being given away as we speak. All you have to do is head over to this link, sign up for one of three Betty Crocker newsletters, and you'll get a calendar -- with 12 beautiful recipes and pictures -- in time for the new year.

Saturday Sample: St. Ives Body Wash

Hopefully, most of us were able to get the St. Ives body wash at CVS for either 99 cents or free if we were lucky enough to have the coupon. I got the Oatmeal and Shea Butter. Some of the other choices are Whipped Silk, Vitamin E, Renewing Collagen Elastin, Energizing Citrus and my least favorite smell ever Cucumber Melon.

The label says it soothes dry, itchy skin. That worked for me since in the wintertime my skin is very dry. The body wash lathers really well. You don't need too much to start. My skin felt softer after use without feeling like there was still a filmy layer. You ever have that happen when you rinse off but still feel like there is a layer of body wash, not with this.

I love that St. Ives does not test on animals and their products do not contain any animal ingredients. And there products contains 100% natural ingredients. They also try to use companies and products that are eco-friendly. That's another plus for St. Ives.

I am biased to the Softsoap Nutri-Serums, I so love that stuff. I will say this is pretty good too. Of course, I had the coupon so it was free, I'm sure that helped even just a little. But it is worth at least the $.99 if you didn't have the coupon.

I don't think I am replacing my Nutri-Serums I just love that too much. But this is really good and it smells fabulous. It is a nice creamy body wash that makes your skin feel moisturized after just a few uses.

Old Navy: Gone to the Dogs

I went to Old Navy for all the great Black Friday deals. I was surprised and so happy to see all the super cute dog coats and sweaters the store had. There were so many different colors and styles. The sizes range from XXS to Large. I will say the large is not big enough for my 70-lb dog, so it would be nice if Old Navy had some larger sizes.

But the great news was that all the Old Navy dog clothes, bedding, toys, and accessories are 50% off. I got a really cute pink sherpa coat for my Mom's dog for only $6.75. There were even the cutest little boots! But I passed on them, that would be too much. Real cheap to keep your fuzzy friends in style and warmth.

Stater Bros: Weekly Highlights From 11/26-12/01

Marsh: Triple Day

I'll be honest. I've never heard of Marsh until about two minutes before I starting writing this post. And I only heard about it because Bargain Briana said Marsh is tripling coupons today, Saturday, November 28.

I checked out the info page of the store's Web site, and here's what I found out:

Tripling is going on between 6 a.m. and midnight. Coupons up to 60 cents will be triple, not to exceed the value of the item. Coupons over 60 cents will be redeemed at face value. There's no limit to how many coupons will triple, as long as you buy the corresponding items. Only manufacturer's coupons will triple, not store coupons [[not even Marsh coupons]]. And you have to use your Fresh I-D-E-A card to get your coupons to triple.

So stop reading, start clipping, and get saving.

Aeropostale: Half As Much

I've recovered from Black Friday. Completely innately, I followed all my Black Friday tips.

I ended up with everything I went out for, and I'm sure I'll tell you all about it later on. But, for now, I wanted to let you know that as I was waiting for Old Navy to open, people from Aeropostale came down with postcards announcing everything in the store is 50% off until Sunday, November 29.

There's no minimum, so you can run in and get anything you'd like. If you spending $100, you get a free Aero Bear with purchase. Not that it's worth trying to get to $100 for a stuffed bear, but if you're planning on getting a ton at Aeropostale, it's a nice extra.

Walgreens: Black Friday Deals

You probably thought we forgot about Wags with all the other great Black Friday deals. Not at all! Walgreens has some pretty great deals too. And they don't end until today [[Saturday, November 28]]. I have been to my store three times already and it is overstocked on the freebies. And that never happens.

I have heard that many stores are limiting the register rewards to one per person. Check it out at your store, my store is very coupon friendly and let me do two separate transactions. And the Johnson's body washes all smell so amazing, that will be a great gift for those holiday stockings.

Free after Register Rewards:
Aquafresh Cavity Protection Toothpaste $1.99 - $1.99 RR = Free
Infusium $4.99 - $4.99 - $2 coupon = $2 money maker
Nivea for Men Shave Gel $2.49 - $2.49 = Free
Dove Ultimate Visibly Smooth Deodorant $3.99 - $3.99 = Free
Right Guard Sport Deodorant $2.49 - $2.49 = Free
Johnson's Softwash Body Wash $5.99 - $5.99 = Free

I also got a $1 Dove coupon that printed with my register rewards. Money maker if you buy another one.

Empire City Casino: Jackpot Payout

This is a new one for Drugstore Divas. It's our first casino freebie.

It's not completely out of the blue. You might not know it from the way Beth and I teach you to keep your money in your wallet, but we both like casinos.

Casinos just don't have freebies as often as, say, Walgreens.

But, this is a monthly promo, so you'll see this post all month, so you'll think casinos as in on the deals.

Empire City Casino in Yonkers, New York, has an email program. This month, the casino emailed $5 in free play to everyone on the mailing list. You can bring the email to the promo center and you'll get your credit any day this month.

But to make it worth your while, go on a Saturday in November. Between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., the first 1,000 card holders will get a $5 gift card to Dunkin Donuts.

The chance of you leaving the $5 free play at the Empire City is pretty great, but you can't gamble the Dunkin Donuts gift card, so at least you won't be leaving empty handed.

UPDATED: CVS: Good Deal Alert -- Degree Ultra Clear

UPDATED: The limit on this is now two. I went today and bought a second one and I got the ecb, even though I bough one yesterday and it said limit reached. Sweet. This wouldn't be CVS Day without a Good Deal Alert. The first one of the day comes thanks to Degree Ultra Clear deodorant. It's on sale for $4 and giving $4 back during the Thanksgiving Weekend/Black Friday sale [[ending 11/28]], making it free [[limit 1]]. If you head over to your 9/13 inserts, you'll find a $1.25/1 coupon. You'll also see a $.75/1 coupon, but it excludes the Ultra Clear.

Rite Aid: Money Maker

This is such a great deal. Anytime a deal is a money maker, I am happy. But when a deal is a $5 money maker, I am ecstatic. Rite Aid has BeneVia Nutrition Enhanced Fruit drink for $7.99. And you will get back $7.99 in single check rebates. That means free.

Use either the $5/1 printable coupon you can get here, or there is a $5/1 coupon in the 11/15 inserts. Either way, you are making $5 after you submit the SCR to Rite Aid. Good deal and I hear the drinks are pretty tasty.

Pampers Gifts To Grow: Free Shipping, Free Points

Pampers doesn't want to be shown up on Black Friday. So the Gifts to Grow site is running a special today. Well, it's offering free points. That's good enough.

Enter this code -- 1234ABCD6789DEF -- anytime today, November 27, and you'll get three free points. That finally pushed me over the 40 mark. The goal is 110 to get a $10 Starbucks gift card, so this might take a while.

When I went to enter the code, I found out that you don't have to pay shipping on Pampers Gifts to Grow prizes anymore, unless you're ordering a Shutterfly prize. That you have to pay to ship, but the others are covered by Pampers. That's great news to me.

Free Sample: A Free Breeze

I'm usually disappointed with free perfume samples. More often than not, a piece of paper with a dab of the perfume is sent, and when you open it, that's about the end of the smell.

But, if you wanna take your chances, sign up for a Tropical Breeze Fragrance freebie here. I don't know what it smells like or what the sample looks like, but free is free, so it's worth taking a shot.

Plus, maybe it'll smell like summer. Or something tropical at least.

Rite Aid Gift of Savings

The Rite Aid Gift of Savings is back. Starting November 22 through December 24, you will get a Rite Aid gift certificate based on your level of spending. Spend $25 to $50, get a $5 gift certificate. Spend $51 to $100 and get $10 back. Spend over $100, get a $20 gift certificate.

You can log in and enter your receipts using the SCR rebates account. Even the items that have a SCR count towards the Gift of Savings.

Now for the disclaimer: This excludes prescriptions, lottery tickets, tobacco, money orders, phone cards, stamps, and prepaid cards.

The gift certificate you receive must be spent all at once, can not be spent on prescriptions, gift cards, money orders, stamps tobacco and lottery tickets.

Birthday Freebie: Arby's

My birthday month is almost over, which means we're running out of time to post birthday freebies. I can't tell you that means I've saved the best for last, but I've saved the last for last.

Arby's
emailed me to say Happy Birthday. The store also said I could get a free Swirl Shake with a Roastburger purchase.

That's nice, in theory, except I'm not a fan of Roastburgers, no matter how much I am a fan of free shakes.

Rite Aid: Today's Trip

This post is my Rite Aid trip on Thanksgiving. But it also serves to let everyone know what the good Black Friday deals are at Rite Aid. The sale started on Thanksgiving and runs through Saturday.

I only got the short four page ad. I know there is a national ad that has some better deals, but not in my area. My store had a limit of three razors per person, so I got one of each. The disposable razors had $1 peelie coupons too. Don't forget to print the $5/$25 coupon.

Scope $3.99 - $3 scr - $1 coupon = Free
Gillette Shave Gel $1.99 - $1 scr - $1 coupon = Free
Oral B CrossAction $2.99 - $2 scr - $1 coupon = Free
Philips Universal Remote $4.99 - $4.99 scr = Free
Tampax Pearls $3.99 - $3 scr = $.99
Ivory 4-pack soap $1.99 - $.99 scr = $.99
Old Spice Deodorant $2.49 - $1.50 scr = $.99
Schick Disposable Razors $.99 - $1 coupon = Free [[no overage]]
Schick Quattro for Men Razor $1.99 - $2 coupon = Free
Schick Quattro for Women Razor $1.99 - $2 coupon = Free
4 Hot Wheels $.50 each

I used a $5/$25 and my total out of pocket is $18.32 of which $.92 is tax. But I will get back $16.48 in scr. So the real total is $1.84.

Black Friday: Top Five Ways To Survive

If you're a professional Black Friday shopper, chances are you're waiting on a line right now. But, chances are, you probably don't need a post to help you make it through the day unscathed.

For the rest of you, let me share: I've been Black Friday shopping more times than I can count. Even the year that there was nothing on my list, but I ended up stumbling over a Wii for someone else. I just like the thrill of it. Over the years, I've figured out a few things to make it easier.

In no particular order, here are my Top Five Ways to Survive Black Friday:

Way One] Wear comfortable shoes. Yes, heels are cute, and I'm sure DSW has a new pair or two you'll end up picking up today. But, while you're shopping, stick to something comfy. You'll be running from store to checkout line to car to the next store, and there's no way you're winning that race in stilettos.

Way Two] Bring A Buddy.
The buddy system is something you've grown up with. You probably don't ever go in a public restroom alone, so why would you try to tackle Black Friday shopping solo? If there's something you want and your friend doesn't need any items from that store, you run and get it and have her hop on line. Checkout will be so much quicker that way. This works better if you know what you're getting and don't need a second opinion on color [[go with black]], size [[smaller is better so you don't have an excuse to get fat]], or version [[unrated for the boyfriend, not the kiddies]].

Way Three] Man The Computer.
The year we got the best prices was the year we left my brother at home. We'd call him from the store and have him quickly search online the unadvertised doorbusters. If he could find it online for cheaper, we'd head to the next store.

Way Four] Be Friendly To Your Linemates. Oh, I've seen my share of Black Friday takedowns over the years. You know who doesn't ever get hurt? The friendly person waiting on line. Even if you don't care that the guy in front of you met his girlfriend playing World of Warcraft and now he's waiting outside Best Buy to get her a new computer monitor [[so the other EverCrack people look bad]], pretend. Because if you happen to mention you're looking for DVRs, and he happens to pass by the last spindle, chances are he'll grab it for you.

Way Five] Stash Some Snacks. The worst thing you can do is shop on an empty stomach. If you do, you'll be whining like a baby, get cranky, and leave because you snag all your deals. Put a couple SoyJoy bars in your purse, a bottle of water, and maybe a little chocolate. You'll have a little pick me up, and you'll make it through the day. But try to avoid the fast food joints. Those lines will be longer than the ones for a laptop.

My little reminder: The chance of you picking up everything on your list is slim. Maybe if you went on Wednesday and hid it all, but, realistically, you'll miss something. That's okay. Just go in knowing you're going to try your best to get everything, and you shouldn't beat yourself up if you miss that super cheap GPS.

I mean, there's always next Black Friday ... and you'll know to get there an hour earlier next year.

Toys R Us: Zhu Zhu Galore

I remember when we were young, my brother wanted a Furby. The gimmick was you could teach it to talk, and I'm sure he wanted to each his little furball to say, "My big sister is mean." Or something along those lines.

My mom went out and waited on some ridiculous line to pick up a pair of these guys. In the end, they said nothing more than, "Ehhhhhh" [[which is, for those of you not well versed in toys, the sound of batteries dying]]. But, on Christmas morning, there was cheers for the Furbies ... even if the thrill lasted shorter than the battery life.

Nevertheless, faithful Jilly is in the same spot my mom was years ago. She needs a toy. Her search: Zhu Zhu Pets.

Zhu Zhu Pets are some little hamsters, which remind me of Webkinz, probably because they're furry and in demand. Toys R Us sent out a press release ensuring they'll have these toys in stock on Black Friday. Really? Read along:
Zhu Zhu Pets ALERT! Toys"R"Us Stocks Stores for Black Friday
Determined to make one of the biggest shopping days of the year enjoyable for customers, Toys"R"Us has big plans for Black Friday shoppers seeking a Zhu Zhu Pets Hamster, one of the hottest toys of 2009. The first 100 customers in line at their local Toys"R"Us store on Black Friday will each be given a ticket for the opportunity to purchase a Zhu Zhu Pet (with a limit of one per household).* With thousands of additional Zhu Zhu Pets being made available in Toys"R"Us stores throughout the day on Friday, and thousands more of the highly coveted Zhu Zhu Pets arriving regularly throughout December, gift-givers will have the best chance of finding the precocious little hamsters at Toys"R"Us.
And, with any purchase -- Zhu Zhus or not -- you'll get a Crayola 64 Box of crayons. Just let me know which your kid plays with longer.

Aerie: November Freebie

Aerie definitely wanted to make my birthday month special. Why else would the store offer the best gift in November?

Today -- or any other Thursday this month -- you can walk into Aerie and walk out with a bottle of perfume, valued at $12.50. You have to turn over your a-list card to have it punched, so even though there are four to choose from, you can only get one gift month.

You do get to select between Carly, Katie, Emma, or Abigal, and, from the picture, it appears that the name of the perfume is on the bottle. So, if you're still trying to figure out what to get Abby for Christmas, well, just leave her home this month and pick her up some perfume.

This is all, of course, if your Aerie is open today since it is Thanksgiving.

Gap: Mind The Gap

This is news to me, but the Gap is open today, even though it's Thanksgiving.

At least, according to the commercial that says the sale is going on. I heard a from my friend Marie that Old Navy was open on Thanksgiving, and since they're sister stores, that makes sense that Gap would be open too.

So, if you need a break from the fam and feel like shopping, head over there. Between now and Friday [[November 27]], men's and women's sweaters, Gap body PJ pants, Gap Kids and Baby Gap fleeces are all bogo. I thought scarves and hats were included too, according to the commercial, but the site doesn't mention it.

It does say, though, that if you shop today, you'll get a coupon book called The Little Book of Cheer. That's free with any purchase. The Little Book of Cheer. That's what I should start calling inserts from now on.

Gobble Gobble Shop

Just in case you put your turkey in the oven, your pies are ready and you house is clean, there is shopping to be had today. Yep, places are open on Thanksgiving. And this year more than ever. Many of the stores also have their Black Friday sales starting today.

Here are some of the stores that are open today. Call your local store to find the hours and to make sure they are open.

Rite Aid
CVS
Walgreens
K-mart
Old Navy -- if your Old Navy is in a mall, it is probably closed.
Walmart
Boscovs

ADDED:
Gap
7-11
ShopRite

American Eagle: Turkey Day Savings

If you're like me, you like to search the clearance page on American Eagle's Web site. It's even more fun when you're armed with a coupon code.

Thanksgiving only, head over to ae.com, and save 25% -- PLUS get free shipping on every order, including clearance clothing. This is really a super deal. Use code 76845734.

Happy Turkey Day!!

Happy Thanksgiving

Tomorrow is the biggest shopping day of the year. There's nothing bigger than Black Friday.

But today is about family. And I hope you're spending it with yours.

We here at Drugstore Divas want to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving. We know you're probably eating turkey and enjoying the day. But, in case your Aunt Edna starts retelling the story about how she laughed so hard her teeth fell out or your Uncle Miles can't control his gas after all those mashed potatoes, comes here for some refuge. Our deals will be a bit more sporadic today [[no Aunt Edna or Uncle Miles for us]], so we'll be spending time giving thanks for our stockpiles.

If you need to get some deals in, and we don't have enough new stuff posted, you can check out our Black Friday link.

Enjoy!

CVS: Good Deal Alert -- Vaseline Sheer Infusion

By now, we probably all have enough Vaseline Sheer Infusion -- since everyone was giving it away for free -- we can open a lotion shop.

I'd call it a shoppe. That sounds more French. And elegant. And worth paying for.

The Vaseline lotion isn't worth paying for because you can get it all for free. Like during CVS' Thanksgiving Weekend/Black Friday sale [[ending 11/28]]. The lotion is on sale for $7.99 and giving back $7.99 in ecb, limit one. There's a $1.50/1 coupon out there, if you have any left, or a $1/1 coupon from the latest Reinventing Beauty magazine.

So, just in case you need some more, now's the time to get it.

CVS: Good Deal Alert -- Colgate 360 Toothbrush

I went away this past weekend, and I thought, "What a great excuse to change my toothbrush."

What's your excuse?

How about a free toothbrush at CVS? During the Thanksgiving Weekend/Black Friday sale, Colgate 360 toothbrushes are $2.99, and giving back $2 in ecb, making them 99 cents. Head here and you can print out a $1/1 coupon.

Looks like a one-cent moneymaker -- and a toothbrush changing excuse -- to me.

CVS: Sweets For Your Sweet

I love anything sweet. As I'm writing this, I'm waiting for my S'mores cookie bars to cool. I made two batches: one for work, one for Thanksgiving.

Speaking of sweets and Thanksgiving, CVS has two chocolate freebies during its Thanksgiving Weekend/Black Friday sale [[ending 11/28]].

Mars king size candy bars are $1.59 and giving back $1.59 in ecb, making them free. You can choose Snickers, M&Ms, basically the daddy size of the baby chocolates you were getting from your Free Chocolate Friday coupons.

Also on sale are Hershey's singles. Buy one for 89 cents and you'll get 89 cents back in ecb, limit one. The best part about that -- as if there's something better than free chocolate -- is it counts towards your 2009 Hershey's singles total. Yup, if you buy ten by the end of the year, you'll get a CRT for another one for free. That sweetens the deal [[oh, I know, that was terrible]].

CVS: Free Is In Style

A few weeks ago, Beth asked me, "Did you get the free shampoo?"

"What free shampoo?" I asked, knowing I had scoured the ads.

"Exactly," she replied.

Her point was that back in the day, there were more shampoo deals than we knew what to do with. And now, it seemed like those deals were far and few between.

Well Beth, this one's for you.

During CVS' Thanksgiving Weekend/Black Friday sale [[ending 11/28]], Herbal Essences shampoo, conditioner, or stylers are $2.99 and giving back $2 in ecb, limit three.

Well, if you go to your 10/11 P&G inserts, you'll notice a buy one HE product, get a styler free. Well, pick up a styler and a shampoo [[or conditioner, or two stylers if you really want]], pay $2.99 for the both and then get back $4 in ecb.

If you're really hard up for products, you can buy four -- two stylers, two of whatever else your head desires. Your total will be $5.98 [[after two bogo coupons]] and you'll get back $6 in ecb.

And, really, a few styling products never hurt anyone.

CVS: Pass The Clicker

I remember watching Remote Control when I was little, and the host of it just died, and that makes me sad. So, this post is dedicated to him. Not that I'm quite sure he wants a CVS Day post in his honor, but we give what we can.

Why did I chose this post? Because Magnavox remote controls are $6.99 and giving back $6.99 in ecb during CVS' Thanksgiving Weekend/Black Friday sales [[ending 11/28]].

That's not the only electronic for sale. Philips headphones are $6.99 and also giving back $6.99 in ecb, making them free as well. The limit is one on each.

I still have the headphones unopened from last year's sale, but I always know if I leave mine at the gym -- or lend them to someone with gross ears -- I have a spare.

CVS: The Patron Saint Of Showers

St. Ives recently gave its body wash a redesign, which is probably why CVS has it on sale during its Thanksgiving Weekend/Black Friday sale [[ending 11/28]].

But, it's not free, which is seriously killing me. I can't pay for body wash. But if you can ... St. Ives body wash is $3.99 and giving back $3 in ecb, making it a dollar.

I heard there was a $1/1 coupon out there for it, but it's not in my inserts. I know some coupons are regional, but I've never not gotten a St. Ives coupon when it was released, so your guess is as good as mine, really.

If there is a coupon, and if you have said coupon, you're looking at free body wash. And if you don't have it, you're leaving it on the shelf like me, I'm sure.

CVS: Finals Week Ready

My little brother has finals week in the near future, which means the energy drink stockpile needs to be replenished.

Thank goodness for CVS' Thanksgiving Weekend/Black Friday sale [[ending 11/28]]. DynaPep energy shots are $4.99 and giving back $4.99. This is one of the few items that is a limit of two during this sale.

Don't forget, if you scan your receipt from a purchase of DynaPep and email it to info(at)dynapep.com [[changing the (at) at @, but I didn't wanna send them spam so that's not clickable]] with your mailing address, you'll get a free energy shot mailed to your door. How great is that?

If you don't have a scanner, don't worry. I chatted with the CEO of DynaPep who said you can mail your receipt in to the following address:

DynaPep
131 N.W. 13th St. Ste. 39
Boca Raton, FL 33432

And yup, that'll get you another free shot as well. You get to choose between original and mint. Sounds good for my bro.

CVS: Happy CVS Day

UPDATE: The cartridges aren't included. Only the razors with the handle.Today [[November 25]] is CVS Day here at Drugstore Divas.

A few weeks ago, we had Rite Aid Day. Today, we have CVS day. Today is devoted to all the Thanksgiving weekend/Black Friday sales, which begin at midnight on Thursday.

Last year, I went to a 24-hour store at 11:30, the night before Thanksgiving. I put everything in my cart and checked out exactly at midnight, when the registers flipped over.

So, today, to get you ready, I'm listing all the great deals and freebies, starting with the Bic Soleil razor or cartridges. It's on sale for $6.99 and giving back $4 in ecb, making it $1.99. There were $2/1 coupons in the 11/15 insert. Or, there's a $2/1 printable here.

That turns it into a one cent moneymaker. It's a limit of two, so that's great.

But ladies aren't the only ones who can be hairless. Schick Quattro Titanium Razors or refills are $9.99 and giving $8 in ecb. There's a $2 coupon in the 11/22 inserts, making you another penny.

Keep coming back all day, and we'll teach you what deals will make you more than a cent.

I collect Pampers Gifts to Grow points, even though I don't have a baby.

Mallory doesn't have one either, but she did send me an email about the Huggies Enjoy the Ride program and free codes from November.

She mentioned one of the codes doesn't work, but she doesn't remember which, so I'm pasting all the codes from her. If anyone puts them all in and knows which the broken code is, please, let me know. Thanks to Erika, who let us know the two-point code is the expired one.

CVS: Good Deal Alert -- Starbucks Frappuccino

I hate coffee. I may have mentioned that before. What I don't hate: Starbucks Frappuccinos. Oh. My. Gosh.

This week [[ending 11/28]], they're on sale at CVS for $1.50. Use this printable for IE, this for Firefox, to get a dollar off. Now you can get the tasty fraps for fifty cents.

Black Friday: Rocking At Old Navy

For a long time, I couldn't fit into Old Navy clothes. They were too big. Either I got bigger or Old Navy started cutting stuff smaller [[it sells XXS now, so I'm going with the latter]].

But, even with that said, Old Navy isn't usually on my list of stores to shop.

It will be on Black Friday.

Stores open at 3 a.m., which is nuts, but if you buy $20 worth of clothes -- and you're checking out while supplies last -- you'll get a free copy of Lego Rock Band. The game retails for $46.99 on Amazon, so this deal is out of control. Or, it's just the right size ... if you will.

You didn't think we'd get through this whole post without the ad scan, did you? Of course not. Because Jilly, who is so good at finding the Black Friday ads early, sent it to me. So here it is for you.

Amazon: MP3s For Me For Free

Adam Lambert heated it up at the American Music Awards. There was a steamy, controversial kiss ... that, honestly, I didn't even notice while I was watching it.

The American Idol alum performed the title track from his new album, but I would have much rathered the other song I'm hearing of his on the radio, Whatdya Want From Me. Thanks to Amazon, I can get the song I want for free.

You, my friends, can get whatever you want.

Saving The Family Money
found an Amazon.com Black Friday week deal where, if you click this link, you can get $3 in MP3 downloads for free. The deal is good til November 30, and so is the credit. Any unused portion will be lost.

So, I ask: Whatdya Want From Amazon?

Target: Stay Hydrated

If you're going shopping this coming weekend, chances are you're gonna need a drink or two. If not, you'll just die.

Thankfully, Target is gonna help you out.

Head over to this link, and you can print a coupon for a free soda from the Target cafe on Friday [[November 27]] or Saturday [[November 28]].

You might wanna skip the diet soda because goodness knows you'll probably need the sugar to get through the shopping.

CVS: Complete-ly Free

I went to the eye doctor last week, and she asked, "What kind of contact solution do you use?"

I said, "Usually Bausch and Lomb, but I've been using Complete because it wasn't on sale."

I didn't tell her I had a stockpile from the last time CVS was giving it away.

This week [[ending 11/28]], CVS is doing it again.

Complete contact solution
is on sale for $8.99 this week and giving back $8.99 in ecb, so free. Limit two. Great.

But it gets better.

There's a $1/1 coupon, which turns this into a moneymaker. There was a $1/1 printable here, but it seems to be unavailable now. Keep checking through the week to see if that comes back.
