Saturday Sample: Snickers Fudge

Did you think we'd let Halloween go by without a Saturday Sample about a piece of candy?

The other day, I picked up a Snickers Fudge [[mostly because my Walgreens deal needed a filler and my mom wanted one]]. We had it in the car, and I can't say I was too impressed.

I wasn't not impressed, I was just whelmed [[ah, great movie]].

The thing is the Snickers Fudge is a Snickers bar, without the nougat. There's fudge there. And I love fudge more than the average person. But this fudge was dry. So, instead of wishing for another bite of the candy, I was wishing for a drink of water.

Now, if I had a glass of milk nearby, I might think otherwise. But I didn't need that many fillers.

Chocolate Crazy

Chances are you're spending today with the kiddies, walking them around from house to house, collecting treats.

And now it's dinnertime, and you've cooked nothing.

Don't worry. Stir Crazy will pitch in.

Today [[October 31]], anytime after 4 p.m., kids 10 and under eat free.

The email I got doesn't even mention anything about "with an adult entree." I'm sure you can't just sent the kids in costume for a free meal, but still. It's a good deal.

Menchies Melts

If you don't have a Menchies Frozen Yogurt around you, you don't know how adorable the store's logo is.

And you also don't have an excuse to wear a swirl cap.

But, if you do have a Menchies, head there today [[October 31]] wearing a Menchies swirl cap [[that you can download from here]], you'll get a free 12 oz. frozen yogurt. You can try thrilla-nilla and count-chochula swirl [[which you better try because that took me about ten minutes to spell correctly]] or you can try pumpkin. Or probably anything you'd rather instead.

Black Jack

I'm celebrating Halloween in Foxwoods, where I'll be playing Bingo in the morning, Let It Ride in the afternoon, and having a Black Jack at night.

That last one's a food. And today [[October 31]], it's free [[which sounds like a great price after a day of gambling]].

Tonight, from 6 p.m. to midnight, Taco Bell is giving out free Black Jack tacos to celebrate the holiday. In case you've never seen one, it's Taco Bell's only taco with a black hard shell, which makes it totally festive.

Michael's Loves Minors

If your kids are up early and ready to go out and celebrate Halloween already, take them over to Michael's.

Today [[October 31]] between 10 a.m. and noon, thanks to The Knack Kids [[Michael's stuff for the kiddies]], children will get a free trick-or-treat pail, a coloring activity, Crayola Model Magic Fusion, a Make-It Take-It Halloween frame, a balloon, and candy.

The picture in this post, it appears to be pencil toppers. The pic was taken straight from The Knack Kids' site, but there seems to be no talk about pencil toppers. If you do get one, and it bores your kids, ask me for my address.

Halloween Toys Not Just For Boys

People are scared of their neighbors. You won't really know which of your streetmates are apprehensive about your lifestyle until you see who skips your house on Halloween. That's when you realize that having one too many guy friends come over makes you look like the town bicycle.

If you've got a neighborhood full of sketchy people, you're probably looking for non-street peddling Halloween activities for the kiddies.

Look no further than Sears. Today [[October 31]] bring your kids down to Sears and they'll get a free Mattel toy [[as long as the kiddies are in costume]].

You can also click that link and get a $5/$20 coupon, good on toys. You might wanna leave the kiddies at home if you try to use that. But it's good until tomorrow [[November 1]], so score so candy for half off and get some Christmas shopping out of the way. The kids will have such a sugar coma, they won't even know you're gone.

Boo-Rito

I don't understand Halloween for adults. At least, I don't understand why childless adults dress up on Halloween. For kids, it's a great candy filled holiday, and I see nothing wrong with that. But an adult woman dressed up as a slutty [[fill in the blank here]] ... or a guy as the Burger King ... no thanks.

However, if you dress up every year, and you're looking for a reason to rewear that burrito costume collecting dust in your closet, lucky for you, I found a reason.

Today [[October 31]] if you head to Chipotle dressed as a burrito -- or boo-rito, or anything in foil -- you'll get a free burrito, taco, bowl, or salad. I love Chipotle, but not enough to dress up as food. You, on the other hand, have to make your own decisions.

Good Deal Alert -- Act II Popcorn

The hard part about shopping Walgreens is finding fillers.

Fear not this week [[ending 10/31]].

Act II
popcorn is on sale for a quarter a pack this week with the in-ad coupon. Royal Gelatin is on sale for 20 cents, but I don't jello. I figure a nickle more for popcorn, and it won't get wasted.

But if you like jello shots ...

Oatmeal Cookie Ready

I'm going to make chocolate for Christmas. I have this recipe for Rocky Road chocolate that's fantastic.

But I know a lot of people like cookies. And I've gotten requests for oatmeal cookies quite a bit.

So, in case I scratch my chocolate plans and go the cookie route, I'm stocked up on Quaker Oats.

This week [[ending 10/31]], they're on sale for two for $5 at Walgreens. If you buy $10 worth of Quaker products, you get $5 back in Register Rewards.

Well, wouldn't you know, there's an in-ad coupon for BOGO Quaker Oats. Now, the way the Wags sale is, all four cans don't ring up $2.50. They ring up $2.99, $2.01, $2.50, and $2.50. So, instead of taking off $5 like you'd expect, the in-ad coupon takes off $3.62. The reason why is a long drawn out answer, and I can explain it to you, but really, email me if you wanna know because it's too boring to tell, and if I tell you why now, you'll never get through this deal because you'll fall asleep at your computer.

Anyway ... $10 minus $3.62 is still only $6.38. Then, in the 08/30 Red Plum, there were $1.25/2 coupons that'll take off another $2.50 if you have two, making this $3.88.

Then you get back $5, so you're looking at $1.12 moneymaker, and four cans of rolled oats.

Cover Those Grays

CVS is lame this week. Beth mentioned that already.

But, if you have CRTs, ecbs, and a bi of creativity, it's not as terrible as the past has been.

Here's a creative deal: Revlon ColorSilk haircolor. It's on sale for $3 at CVS this week [[ending 10/31]], and get $2 ecb when you buy two [[for $6]]. So it's like two for $4.

Well, there's a $1/2 coupon out there, so now you're down to two for $3. And, I've been told, $1.50 for a box of hair dye isn't bad.

But, if you got the $3/2 hair dye or highlights CRT, you're looking at free. And now, I can tell you, $0.00 for a box of hair dye is great.

Good Deal Alert -- 20% Off Sephora

If you are even thinking of buying anything from Sephora anytime soon, do it now! Okay, do it between now and November 2nd, and you can save 20% off anything on Sephora's Web site. This is huge since it is a very rare event.

Enter the code FF2009 at checkout for the 20% discount. And if you spend $50 shipping is free, otherwise it is $5.99. Still not bad considering all the fabulous things they have. Urban Decay, Bare Minerals, Philosophy, the cosmetic list goes on and one. And so does the fragrance list. If you need cologne or perfume for a holiday gift, order now.

Make sure to visit here before you complete your order. You can choose three free samples with any order. 20% off, three free samples and possible free shipping, this is a hot deal!

Kohl's Koupon

Here's a little bit on my morning routine. I wake up, check my email, hop in the shower, get dressed, eat breakfast while doing blog stuff [[moderating comments, checking Twitter, make my lunch, and run out the door. All in about 55 minutes ... if I hit snooze as many times as I'd like.

Sometimes the morning emails are boring. Other times, like yesterday, they were great because the always lovely Jilly forwarded me a Kohl's deal.

Between now and Halloween, you can save 15% off any Kohl's purchase or 20% off purchases of $100 or more with this printable coupon.

If you don't have a Kohl's nearby but still want in on the deal, just shop online. Use the code TIME2SHOP for the 15% offer or TIME2SAVE for the 20% off deal.

You can also get free standard shipping if you spend over $75, so happy shopping.

The Ark Man Does Bagels

I though Noah was known for taking animals, two by two, onto an ark. That's it. I've never heard of anything named for Noah, except that ark.

And, well, this bagel joint probably isn't named for the Biblical guy, but that's still all I thought of when I heard about Noah's Bagels. Well, now that's changed. Now I'm thinking Free Bagel Friday.

Yes, yes, print this coupon and head down to your local Noah's before 11 a.m. today [[October 30]]. Then you can get a free bagel.

If you don't have a Noah's, but you have an Einstein Bros., you're in luck too. They're sister stores [[or brother stores, haha]], so they have the same promo. Click here for your Einstein Bros. coupon [[same deal: free bagel on Friday, before 11 a.m.]].

Now, the coupons actually saysyou can use it once per person per day, but it does say Free Bagel Friday, so unless every day is Friday there, you can only use it once. But, then again, it doesn't expire until November 3 [[which is a Tuesday]], so your guess is as good as mine.

Pure & Natural & Cheap

This is a joint post by Lisa and Beth, and both of us don't really know what a good price is for diapers. So, it's funny that we both found a very similar deal at a different store and chose to write about it. So, to make it easier for you, we're putting them together.

Beth's find: Huggies jumbo packs are on sale at Rite Aid for $9.99. They are giving back a $3 single check rebate. Now we are down to $6.99 for diapers. But if you get the Huggies Pure and Natural diapers, you can use the $3/1 coupon that was in the 10/25 SmartSource.

Combine all that and you are looking at $3.99 for a jumbo pack of Huggies. Rite Aid has some other good deals you can combine this with this week to use a $5/$25. Even better!

Lisa's find: This week [[ending 10/31]], Huggies Pure And Naturals diapers are on sale for $8.99 at ShopRite. There was a $3/1 coupon, like Beth mentioned, and there was a $3/1 coupon in our printable coupons [[right side of this blog]]. Use either coupon and you're looking at $5.99 a pack. Sounds good to me.

Really Pay Less

I'll post a picture to go with this when I get a chance. I swear. But for now, I wanted to let you know about a deal I just got frommy super saver friend Lisa N.

Deal now. Photo later.

You're okay with that, right?

Today and tomorrow [[October 29 and 30]], you can save 50% off everything at Payless when you use the coupon from this link.

You can thank Oprah -- and Lisa N. -- for the deal.

You can either text 242424 for a code or print out the PDF. Either way, you need to shop by close of business Friday to get in on it.

Speaking of nothing, the heels I have on right now are from Payless. Looks like a trip for me.

Maxwell In The Morning

I stopped at Stop & Shop quick last week, just to pick up some bread.

On the bottom of my receipt, a deal printed.

And I figured you might wanna know about it.

Between now and December 31, 2009, if you buy five Maxwell House Coffee items, you "get a coupon for $5 off [[your]] next shopping order." Yeah, that's a direct quote there.

I'm guessing it's in the form of a oyno catalina, but I know Stop & Shop does actually give out paper coupons that are good on your next shopping trip, so it could be a toss up.

If you hit this before I do, let me know how you get your five bucks.

Savings For The Children

You all know that Lisa and I don't have little ones, so I have never even been in The Children's Place store. There is one at my mall, but it is kinda weird and you can't see into the store. There are no window displays.

So I don't know the first thing about their clothes or prices. But I know 15% helps make any item that much cheaper. Until November 16th [[the day before Lisa's birthday]], you can visit this site, print out the coupon, head over to The Children's Place, and start saving.

In case you want to shop online, you can enter the code K699. I did check out the site online and it has some really cute holiday outfits for kids, infant to size fourteen.

Calling CVS

This post is not a good deal alert, not a free sample, not a free after extra buck. Really this is a no frees at all post. This week [[ending 10/31]], there is nothing at CVS that is free after extra bucks [[Lisa's note: Except for the glucose meter, which you will not see us condoning buying just to roll your ecb]]. Sure there are a couple items that are cheap or that will be free after coupons, but not many of those deals either.

I wonder if CVS realizes how much free stuff we are getting at Rite Aid and Walgreens lately. The competition sure is ahead in my book. For the first time ever that I can remember, I have been to Rite Aid [[and Walgreens for that matter]] more in the last week than CVS.

Wonder how they plan to entice us to come back?

Me too.

Aerie's October Freebie

Aerie has free gifts every Thursday, but if you've already gone in October, you can't get another freebie. But, if you haven't gone, you're in luck.

This month, Aerie's giving out a cute little black cylindrical bag with purple lining and a sweet little silver bird on the zipper. Inside, though, was a set of four makeup brushes [[truth be told, mine are still in the bag]].

Head over there today because it's the last Thursday of the month. You'll be super sad if you miss out on this one.

Free Eagles Tote [[For Some]]

Rite Aid is offering a free Philadelphia Eagles tote bag when you spend $30 between now and December 31st. Check this list to see if your store is participating. I am really not happy about this post but will share the good deals with our readers regardless. See the catch here is that you have to enter your receipts from specific participating Rite Aid stores.

I am mad because I am only two hours north of Philly and no stores around me are included. Hopefully for my fellow Eagles fans, you live in an area that is participating. It looks like a really nice tote bag.

Share Some Hope

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is ending, and maybe you finally remembered someone who needs a little encouragement during this time. But you completely forgot or ran out of ideas or you're cheap.

Whichever, we've got something for you.

Head over to this link, and you'll see some personalized pink cards that Snapfish is offering.

For free.

Yup, just enter SHARETOCARE at checkout by Saturday [[October 31]] and you'll get a free card. Tax and shipping apply. Snapfish isn't giving everything away, but the store is making a donation. All this month, 30% of the proceeds from Snapfish's "pink design" photo gifts were donated to BreastCancer.org. How great is that?

Referral Wednesday: Welch's Harvest Of Help

Some Referral Wednesdays, we tell you about sites like SwagBucks [[where you can accrue money for prizes and help yourself]]. Other times, we tell you about sites like YoPlait's Save A Lid, Save A Life Program [[where you can help others]].

This is one of those other times.

Welch's is joining with Feeding America to donate 1 million glasses of juice to the program. And you can help. Easily.

All you have to do is head over to this link, and click an icon next to the filling juice glass. You don't even have to register. Just click once per day.

That's it.

Welch's is about halfway to its goal, which is amazing. It's so refreshing [[oh, that's a bad pun]] to see a company that is helping others, not just helping its bottom line. And it's great for us to support that cause -- even if all we have to do is click a link online.

So head over to the above link and join Welch's Harvest of Health. And feel good about yourself today. And tomorrow. And every day you click.

Good Deal Alert -- Vaseline Sheer Infusion

Rite Aid has a great deal on the new Vaseline Sheer Infusion body lotion this week [[ending 10/31]]. It is on sale for $4.99 with a $4 Single Check Rebate. On top of that, there is a $1.00 Vaseline coupon in the 10/18 inserts, giving us a penny moneymaker. I'm sure we can all find something to do with that penny!

My store doesn't carry this item. But they gave me a raincheck, which I am almost positive will not give me this deal because there is an SCR involved. So I'm going to make a few stops at some other Rite Aids around this week. Good luck!

UPDATE: Double Diet

Update: Karmen from Oh So Frugal posted in our comments to confirm that this does in fact work. Happy Double Points Day. And thank you Karmen!!

There's a rumor fizzing around [[yes, "fizzing" is your hint]] that My Coke Rewards is offering double points today [[October 28]] for codes from Diet Coke products.

I say rumor because, generally, My Coke Rewards is really good about sending emails about this kind of thing. I haven't seen an email, so you're welcome to try your luck [[but don't get mad at me if it doesn't work]].

You're allowed to enter codes worth 120 points per calendar week. The good thing about double points days [[aside from the extra points, of course]] is that the bonus points don't count against your 120-point total.

If you got an email about this, please, let us know.

Pampers Plus

Pampers Extra Protection diapers are designed to keep your baby dry for longer periods of time. The brand suggests the diapers are good for long car rides or overnight. Sounds like Pampers plus to me. You can be the judge for yourself.

You can try a free sample for yourself thanks to Walmaart by visiting here. And once you have received your free sample, there were coupons in the 10/25 inserts, so if you like them, you are already set to save.

Fly For Twenty-Five Bucks

My cousin and I have been planning a trip to somewhere warm for the longest. At least, it seems like we've been planning since it started getting cold.

She texted me today to tell me Southwest was having a deal to fly for $25.

Of course, I had to check it out.

It's a 72-hour sale that ends on October 29 at 11:59 p.m., pst. And yes, some flights are $25, one way.

Basically, it goes like this: 0 to 374 miles will cost you $25; 375 to 549 puts you at $50; 550 to 999 is a mere $75; and anything over 1,000 miles is a flat $100 [[click here for details]].

Flights must be between December 2 through December 16, 2009 and January 5 through February 10, 2010. So, if you've got two weeks of vaca at the end of the year, take a trip on December 16, stay til January 5, and you've got Christmas somewhere warm.

Do Not Disturb

We've chatted now and again about how this is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. The month is quickly ending, but we're not out of freebies for those of you who want to don some pink in support.

If you head over to this link and sign up with PRVCY, you'll get a free bracelet [[like he one pictured up top left]].

I believe it's a jeans company, or maybe a clothing company, but bracelets are an accessory, so they go together. Plus, this is a good cause. So don't ask so many questions.

Chocolate Candles

Love Lindt. Hate Yankee Candle. So you can imagine how I went from thrilled to bored when I saw an email from Lindt with a "special offer" that was a discount code for Yankee Candle.

I went from "yay" to "oh" to "Beth would like this" super fast. Like 0 to 60 in no time [[except it was more like 60 to 0 to 10ish]].

Anyway, if you order from Yankee Candle's Web site, enter the code XLINDT between now and 10/31 to get $10 off your $25 [[or more]] purchase. Try to enjoy. Me, I'll be waiting for the truffle offers.

Dulcolax Balances You

So, you may have noticed something about Drugstore Divas. We write long posts and short good deal alerts. This one should be a good deal alert, solely for the fact that I have no lead in about it. But it's too much to type since it's a moneymaker. Hope you understand.

Dulcolax Balance [[ah, now you see the trouble of coming up with a story]] is on sale for $7 this week [[ending 10/31]] at Walgreens. According to the Wags ad, there's a $4 coupon on the package, making this $3. And it's giving back $3 in Register Rewards, making it free.

If you head over to this site, you can get a $3 coupon and a mail-in rebate for up to $5 back, so you can turn this into a moneymaker [[even if I can't turn it into a story]].

Grippy Grip

Poligrip was on sale for free at Rite Aid a few weeks ago, but if you didn't stock up because you forgot or because you don't have a Rite Aid, fear not. This deal is for you.

This week [[ending 10/31]], Super Poligrip is on sale at Walgreens for $2. And it's giving back $2 in Register Rewards, making it free. Plus, I'm pretty sure there's still a coupon floating around for this.

So, basically, if you're at a complete loss about what to get Grandma for Christmas this year, the mystery may have just been solved.

Are You Chicken?

I found out about a great deal at Boston Market from Cindy at Living Rich With Coupons.

Not to be outdone by KFC [[which gave out a free piece of chicken yesterday]] Boston Market is offering a week of meals for only $1 [[ending 11/01]].

Print out this coupon [[it was originally thought to be mailing list-only -- and thank you Cindy for forwarding it to me -- but you can print it from Boston Market's site]], and you can get a three-piece dark meat or one-quarter white meal [[this includes mashed potatoes and corn bread]] for a buck.

The coupon is good one per person per visit, so looks like you can get a bunch of cheap lunches -- or dinners -- this week.

Burger Heaven

My friend and I go to White Castle. A lot. Like, every time we hang out.

It's our thing.

If he needs my help with something, he'll bribe me with White Castle. Which always makes me say yes. Sure, I'd probably say yes without the burgers, but why?

I should probably bribe him -- then save a few bucks with this coupon. It's a bogo coupon for cheeseburger sliders. And it's good till Halloween.

Now, if only there was a coupon for chicken rings, and we'd be set.

Beware Blinkies

I love tearpads. They seem to be some of the best coupons around. Blinkies on the other hand are usually not great around here. Though the display can probably withstand me.

Blinkies are SmartSource Coupon Machines found in drugstores, grocery stores and other brick and mortar stores. They are called "blinkies" because of the blinking light meant to grab your attention while strolling along in the aisles. Thanks to this Web site, you can see the blinkie coupon schedule.

All of this brings me to the real point: Be on the lookout for these blinkie machines. The coupons in my area are so good right now. First there was the $1/1 Comtrex at Rite Aid that turned the deal into a moneymaker. My grocery store had $1/1 Kellogg's with Fiber, $1/2 any Kellogg's cereal, bogo Trident Layers gum, and $1/2 Glade. Hopefully, there are some good ones in your area too.

Mail Call Monday

The mail is starting to pick up. At least, it seems like it is. That's what happens when you get big packages in the mail.

So, what'd I get this week? I got ...

Shape magazine

Soy Butter Peanut Butter [[which leaked through the sample, ick]]

Olay Professional Rx sample from Vocalpoint

Various Coldcalm medicines

Coupon for a free box of Keebler crackers for joining the Twitter party [[what Twitter party, I have no idea]]

Lights On

Personally, I prefer to only use CFL [[compact flourescent light]] lightbulbs. However, we have a new chandelier in our dining room that has a dimmer switch. Guess what does not work in that light? All my CFLs that I have stockpiled. And it uses six light bulbs.

I actually had to go out and buy some regular bulbs. I have two. Thanks to Rite Aid this week [[ending 10/31]], I can have almost enough regular bulbs for when these burn out. GE Softlight white bulb two packs are on sale two for $2 and are giving back $2 in single check rebates. I know I am heading to Rite Aid for this one. How about you?

And The Winner Is ...

Here's the moment you've been waiting for: The winner of our Nature Valley Nut Clusters giveaway.

Well, wait no longer.

The winner is [[drumroll please]] Maria! Congrats!!

Maria, I'm sending you an email now.

Thanks to everyone who entered. If you didn't win, don't worry. You can try your luck in our WAT-AAH! giveaway.

Last Make A Wish Monday

This is the last Monday left in October, which is sad.

Why?

Because Stir Crazy is having Make A Wish Mondays this month.

What's that, you ask.

Well, if you go to Stir Crazy on a Monday in October and donate five bucks to the Make A Wish Foundation, you'll get a free appetizer [[up to a $9 value]]. So, we suggest taking your date there. You'll look sweet for helping out the kiddies with your donation -- and you'll save $4 off your appetizer.

What could be better?

Happy UNFry Day

Kentucky Fried Chicken has declared today [[October 26]] UNFry Day.

At first glance, I thought it was UNICEF, but clearly, that was wrong.

It's just a ploy to promote KFC's grilled chicken.

A delicious ploy.

If you head to KFC today, you'll get a free piece of grilled chicken. No purchase necessary.

KFC did the same thing back in April, but my store ran out of grilled chicken. You could either wait 15 minutes for new chicken to be made ... or get some fried chicken. I picked the fried. I could spare the calories but not the time.

Free Movie Again

I'm not a movie theater person. Oh, I like being entertained and all, but it's so hard for me to sit there and be quiet for two hours. So, I have a ton of movies on my "To Watch" list, but the chance of me seeing them in the theater is pretty slim.

Take the movie 17 Again, for example. It was out, and then it was gone, and I still haven't seen if Matt LeBlanc tries harder to be cooler in this movie than he tried in Friends [[doubtful!]].

If I had a MovieCube by me, I'd rent it, because Maria from Oh Lovely {Coupons} found a MovieCube code. She said you can enter the promo code 3NRX9R by Tuesday [[October 27]] for a free DVD rental.

Fiber To Go

I re-read that headline and it made me laugh so hard. I'm not usually one who appreciates a poop joke, but what can you do sometimes but laugh -- especially when it's completely an unintended coincidence.

Yes, just laugh along.

And then head to Walgreens.

This week [[ending 10/31]], Fiber Choice or Beano to go is on sale for $2.49 and giving back $2.50 in Register Rewards, making it free.

I'm still laughing at the headline -- and the fact that I wanted to end this post quickly and contemplated typing, "Okay, gotta go."

It's that kind of day.

Yogurt With The Goodies

It's a week before Halloween -- which means you've probably eaten through your stockpile and have to head back out to get some candy for those Trick or Treaters.

Or maybe you have kiddies of your own who will bring in the goods.

Breyers wants you to remember that healthy eating can be good too. And to do so, they're having a promotion that my friend Lisa N. found [[that's tracked back to The Coupon Project]].

See, Breyers has a YoCrunch line, which is ice cream with mix-ins up top. Personally, I'm a huge fan of the cheesecake with graham cracker crumbles [[if you get the 100 calorie packs, they're not bad for you. Swear]].

According to The Coupon Project:
You have up until two weeks following October 31 to mail in your wrappers. Send them here: Shaina Zalma, YoCrunch, 9507 Santa Monica Blvd., Suite 300, Beverly Hills, CA, 90210. Limit one submission per household.
The wrappers referred to are any 12 candy bar wrappers. Save them, send them to Breyers, and maybe you won't feel so guilty about having eaten a dozen in the first place.

University Of Free Panties

I told you forever ago to sign up for Victoria's Secret Pink Nation.

If you're not, go here. Sign up. I'll wait for you.

Okay, back?

Good.

Sign in to Pink Nation. Why? Because now and November 9, you can print a coupon that's good for a free Pink cotton panty [[in white, black, or pink, of course]] valued at $7.50.

You can also get a coupon for $10 off a bra, which is only good on full-priced bras and excludes Victoria's Secret Pink Bra Multiples Collection. Forget the bra. Get the free panties. Vicky's will still be in business.

Saturday Sample: WAT-AAH!

My brother met me at home one day last weekend, and I had just gotten a box from WAT-AAH! in the mail. I opened the box to show him four bottles of water.

"Well that's a saturated market," he said.

I wanted to ask him if he wanted to help me review the water for this week's Saturday Sample, but instead he said, "No, that was such a great comment, I'm not talking about it anymore."

Oh, he's so punny.

The WAT-AAH! I received are the ones pictured, four narrow bottles with neon lettering [[they're geared towards kids, by the way, so put your Momma Cap on now]]. The bottles, we decided, are a little large for little hands. They're 16.9 oz., like a typical water bottle, but since they're so tall and narrow, it seems like them falling on the ground accidentally is inevitable.

Thank goodness it's only water inside.

I take that back. It's not "only" water. It's fortified water. Yes, the pink bottle is Spring Water only for Body [[to make you feel bett-aah]], but there's one for Bones [[with magnesium]] to make you grow strong-aah, Energy [[with oxygen]] to make you run fast-aah, and Brain [[with electrolytes]] to make you think smart-aah.

Now, I have no idea what an electrolyte tastes like, and after drinking this water, chances are you won't either. It doesn't have some strong aftertaste. But, it doesn't taste like filtered tap water -- or regular tap water either. It's a little thicker than regular water, if that makes any sense. Someone who helped me try it said it tasted like flat soda. I think he meant the density of it. I'm not saying this as a bad thing, just a matter of fact thing.

The bottles on the labels are really eye catching. The logo is of a little boy, screaming for WAT-AAH! so loud, his tonsils are showing. If you've got kiddies, you know that's how you want them to look. You don't want them screaming for soda [[or sot-aah]], you want them yelling for something that will hydrate them and not pump sugar into their already active veins.

You're interested, aren't you? Well, if you're super interested, you need to come back tomorrow *hint hint*

Spooktacular Day

I was heading into CVS a few weeks ago, the one that's next to a pizza parlor/bar. Into the pizza parlor/bar headed a fairy. Or maybe she was a princess. All I really know is that it was the beginning of October and she was already in costume.

If you've got kiddies who wanna wear their costumes as many times as possible, take them to Borders today.

Beginning at 2 pm today [[October 24]], your kids can play games and create spooky crafts. And yes, they have to be kids under the age of 13 and accompanied by a parent.

Check this list to find a Borders near you.

Weekend Warrior

It's getting a tad bit cold for outdoor outlet shopping. But if you can bear the weather, you definitely wanna head out to your local Chelsea Premium Outlet this weekend, October 24 and 25.

I got an email that said this weekend is VIP weekend.

That means exclusive savings, free gifts, and a chance to win a $250 gift card [[which would be a big help to my free Christmas goal]].

You have to be a VIP to take advantage of this sale, so if you're not yet, sign up here. It takes a few seconds of your time ... and it's worth the savings.

Chocolate For The Big Kids

Starbucks has this great hot chocolate around wintertime. It's something like salted caramel hot chocolate something something-or-other.

Hopefully it's out now.

Why? Well, I'm not a Starbucks junkie or anything, but today [[October 24]], you can get a free small cookie and kids size hot chocolate with this coupon at any participating Starbucks inside Barnes & Noble.

I've read the coupon a million times, and nowhere does it say anything about it being for kids. It only says one per customer. So, I think you can head down to Barnes & Noble, no matter what your age.
