I like having friends who are older. Not because they're much wiser or because they have an incredible amount of life experience to draw knowledge from. Nope. It's mostly because no matter how old I get, I'll still be younger than them.
I've kind of given in to the idea that one day I'll be old and have
wrinkly skin. I'd like to think it isn't, but it's inevitable. So, I've resorted to doing everything I can to keep my skin as healthy and soft as possible now.

Softsoap Nutri Serums, this week's Saturday Sample.
My mom -- who is the best mirror into the future I have -- and I have been testing it out the last few weeks. The microbeads have made my skin incredibly soft. It's also somehow found a way to really balance the color in my skin, which is something I generally resort to face washes to do. But I also have youth on my side.
My mom, well, she said after using it for a while, she doesn't even need moisturizer. Hey
Juan Ponce de Leon: I think Softsoap found the fountain of youth.
I've chatted with Beth about this [[yes, we talk about body wash]], and we both had the same observation: this body wash doesn't lather as much as others. It does the trick without the bubbles. It's not terribly sparse or anything like that. You can still use it as a shaving cream substitute. But if you're looking for bubbles like in a
kiddie bath, this isn't that.
It comes in two varients [[okay, I would say "scents," but Softsoap has taught me that "varients" is the correct word here]] -- Restoring with Vitamin E and Moisture Retaining with
Omegas 3 & 6. The first is the purple bottle, the latter the green [[I'm just trying to oversimplify]]. My unofficial poll has determined that the majority of people like the purple bottle. The green does have a softer smell when it's in the bottle, but both are equally light and unpowering when in the shower. And that's big for me. I like fruit, but I can't stand if my shower is filled with the smell.
And, I have to throw this in there because if I don't, I'll be mad later. The bottle is clear. I actually really, really like that. I don't have to guess when I'm running low. No, in fact, I can see when I am. The body wash is also clear too [[save the microbeads]], and it actually looks super sleek. Yeah, I'm a fan.
This is officially launching on September 1, I've been told, and if you want to be one of the first on your block to wash with this, well, keep your eyes on the blog. We've got something special coming for you ...
