Get Thee To A Vicky's

I could wax poetic about how much I love Victoria's Secret and how I want for nothing else in my intimates drawer than items with a VS on it. But I'm pretty sure you know that already. I mean, Vicky's does cameo on this site quite often.

But mostly that's because the store loves giving stuff away.

Tomorrow, September 1 only, celebrate the end of summer with two new panties. That's right. Two. Print out this coupon here, and you can get two panties free with any purchase. Yup. Any.

"Any" doesn't exclude sale or clearance or cosmetics or lotion or, well, anything. Prior purchases don't count and neither do online ones. And lace and pointelle panties are excluded, but stop griping because you're getting two pairs -- up to a $17 value -- for buying one other item.

Glade You Had Gifts

Unexpected people always seem to find a way of ending up on your Christmas gift giving list. Not that you don't love and appreciate this people, but they didn't exist at this time last year. You know who I'm talking about: mom of the boyfriend you recently started dating; teacher who gets your daughter off the preschool bus and walks her to her classroom; the new lunch lady who just started working at your work cafeteria.

But what do you give these people? They're not your BFFs -- and there's a chance [[breakup, kindergarten, new job]] you won't see these people next Christmas. So you go to the gift stockpile, attach a bow, and you're set.

This week [[ending 09/05]] you can add another gift to that stockpile box -- and a couple bucks to your ecb stash.

The Fragrance Collection by Glade items are $6.99 at CVS this week and giving back $6.99, so it's free. But, if you head over to Red Plum's site, you can print a $3 coupon for The Fragrance Collection. Yup, you just made three bucks.

There are these giant soy candles that you can buy ... but they're not as nice to give away as a present. You can also pick up a reed diffuser, which is pretty much the perfect "I want to let you know you're appreciated but I don't quite know you all that well yet" gift. It's like body lotion -- just completely not lame.

Mail Call Monday

I got a big thing and a bunch of little things since last Mail Call Monday, so I think that's fairly successful. What do you think?

I got:

Burt's Bees kit from Bzzagent including two full-size items and 16 samples, bound by two [[only six duos made the picture; two have already been given away]]

Hugo Boss sample

Kashi cereal and coupons from Kashi Connect

Charmin wipes from Proctor and Gamble samples

Go Red dress pin from the American Heart Association

Nabisco coupon book

Pillsbury Pot Pie recipe book with coupons

Playtex tampons from Proctor and Gamble samples

Flu Be Gone

I was sick a few weeks ago, and I was recovering with a cocktail of TheraFlu and Vitamin C. I can't attest to the TheraFlu making me better, but it definitely helped me sleep. I probably should have stopped relying on it before my sickness outlasted the bottle, but hey, live and learn, right?

The always lovely Jilly posted a great deal on TheraFlu in our forums. So thanks to her, I can stock back up. Because, well, I'm out.

Jilly said that Theraflu is on sale for $4.99 at Walgreens this week [[ending 09/05]]. It's giving back a $3 register reward, so it's starting to sound like it's $1.99. But nope, the deal doesn't strand you there.

There's a booklet next to the circulars in the store, called Healthy Savings. A $1 coupon is in there, making this free.

Winter's on its way, so stock up on meds now ... especially free meds. Thanks Jilly!

More Free Liners

After last week, you'd figure we were set on liners. Right?

Walgreens doesn't think so.

This week [[ending 09/05]], Carefree Ultra Protection liners are on sale for $1.99 and giving back $1.99 in Register Rewards, so free. There's a $1 coupon in Sunday's paper, so this turns into a moneymaker.

But, here's my curiosity getting the best of me: Last week, these were $3.79 at CVS. Now they're $1.99 at Wags. What's the actual price gonna end up being?

FInal I Scream, You Scream For Free

I spent last week in the Bahamas and found the smallest Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Shop in the resort. It was packed every night ... but every night my family and I got ice cream. I have fallen in love with the different flavors of Ben and Jerry's.

Lucky for me, Ben and Jerry's is having Mondays buy one sundae, get one free. I'll just have to go with someone who is willing to pay for their sundae so I can get mine for free.

This offers expires on August 31, so you have only have today left.

Loving Hair

I've been toying with the idea of dying my hair ever since I dyed my friend's last weekend. I really want to go blond, but I can't do that with a box.

I can, however, go black.

If I really decide to give it a go, I'll go to my uncle's salon. But if you're on the fence about a color, head over to CVS asap.

This week [[ending 09/05]], Clairol Natural Instincts Loving Care hair color is on sale for $4.99 and giving back $2 in ecb, making it $2.99 for those who don't know better. In last month's P&G, there was a coupon for $4 off, which makes this a $1.01 moneymaker. But you have to rush. The coupon expires tomorrow, August 31. There was a Clairol hair dye coupon in Sunday's P&G, but that's only for $2. So, not as good of a deal [[but cheaper than paying salon price to fix your hair if you change your mind]].

Kmart Doubles

I visited two Kmart stores. I am hearing rumors that this will be the last Kmart doubles until 2010, so I will be making the most of it. I got 40 items total and my total out of pocket was about $4.00 -- and 99 cents of that was the cat food. The rest were freebies!

Today's Trips:
13 Vaseline $2.50 - $1.50 q = FREE
1 Renuzit $1.89 - $1 q = FREE
2 Hartz Dog Treats $3 - $2 q = FREE
4 Kotex liners $1.29 - $.75 q = FREE
8 Bic Razors [[bonus pack!]] $3.49 - $2 q = FREE
3 Playtex Handsaver gloves $1.59 - $1 q = FREE
4 Playtex Living gloves $1.79 - $1 q = FREE
3 Visine $3.99 - $2 q = FREE
1 Glade Carpet Freshener $2.19 - $1 q = $.19
1 Whiskas Purrfectly Cat food $4.99 - $2 q = $.99

Snacking On Kashi

I've written quite a few love letters to Kashi on Drugstore Divas.

I'll skip the seducing and get right into the deal this time. Lucky you.

Various Kashi products are on sale at Stop and Shop this week [[ending 09/03]]. What you wanna pay most attention to are frozen pizzas [[$5]], granola bars, TLC cookies, or crackers [[$3]]. Why those? Because if you buy $6 worth, you get $2 instant savings at checkout. That's two boxes of Kashi snacks for $4.

But it gets better. Head over to our printable coupons, and you can print a $1/2 coupon for the Chewy granola bars. Print two, combine them with the dollar doublers we talked about the other day, and [[as long as you spend $15 to use the doublers]], your Kashi bars will be free.

Painted White

If you search for Rembrandt on Google images, you get a lot of paintings. If you add in the word toothpaste, you get some people making out.

So, if you wanna make out, I suggest you head over to Walgreens this week [[ending 9/05]]. Rembrandt toothpaste is on sale for $5 and giving back $5 in register rewards. There's also a $1 coupon out there, so you can turn this into a moneymaker.

I just relooked at the make out picture so I could link it for you. It looks more like he's devouring her than actually trying to turn her on. Toothpaste will do funny things to a man, I guess.

Staples Savings

Maybe you don't like close to a CVS. Maybe you didn't stock up on school supplies the last few weeks. If that's the case, Staples has your back.

During its four-day sale [[ending Wednesday, 09/02]], you can get 70-sheet spiral notebooks for 15 cents each, limit four.

If you need to write on those books, for 50 cents, you can get and 8-pack of No. 2 pencils and a 10-pack of Bic Round Stic pens. And what else will two quarters get you? A 12-pack of pink cap erasers, a trio of glue sticks, or Hammermill copy paper [[after the instant savings and easy rebate, on that last one]], limit two.

While you're at Stamples, look around for a Sharp 10-digit basic calculator. It's $6.99, but there's a $6.99 easy rebate, so it's free. That's a limit of one per household, so you better swipe it before any of your coupon-using housemates pick it up. It's so good to have a calculator to keep track of your savings.

Bobbing For Savings

There used to be a Bob's Store in my mall. I bought these incredibly cute brown Sugar sneakers there [[haha, brown Sugar]]. I wanted to go back to pick up a red pair, and by the time I got around to it, the store was closing.

I thought the chain went out of business.

Apparently not.

I know this because Cindy from Living Rich With Coupons found printble coupons for Bob's that begin today, August 30, and are valid til Wednesday, September 2. You can get 30% off a single regular, sale or clearance apparel item. If you happen to stumble over my red sneakers from about a half a decade ago, you can get 20% off a single regular, sale or clearance footwear item. They'll probably be on clearance now. Or maybe it's been so long, they've come back in style.

Bruise Relief

If you're anything like me [[which I hope you're not for your sake]], you walk into walls, doors, and anything else that sticks out. I usually get these massive black and blues and they aren't very pretty.

Well, I think I might be in luck to get rid of those black and blues. Bruise Relief has a spray and a cream ... and a free sample if you click here. You can pick which one you want to use, put in on right away where the impact occurred, and there ya go, no black and blue.

I'm going to try it. Are you?

The Easy Saver Book May Be Back

I read a rumor on I Heart Wags that said Walgreens' Easy Saver booklet might be coming back in September.

Now, if it was, and it was operating along the traditional Wags schedule, that means it would come out tomorrow, August 30. We'll see.

But, if anyone from Walgreens is reading this: I am completely welcoming to the notion of the old system. The register rewards are not working out for me. I live about 20 minutes in either direction from the closest Walgreens. It costs me more in gas than I would like to roll over my RR every week. If I could just go back to the single check plan, I'd be a happy girl.

Plus, there are times when I drive the 20 minutes and then the shelves are empty. The times that happened during the Easy Saver book days was far and few between. It was such a better way to limit deals to what was intended, not have people pick up 50 Chapsticks and ring them out in 50 separate transactions.

I've seen the ad for the week of August 30, and its filled with RR deals. So the program switching back tomorrow seems far fetched. But I'm hoping.

Saturday Sample: Softsoap Nutri Serum

I like having friends who are older. Not because they're much wiser or because they have an incredible amount of life experience to draw knowledge from. Nope. It's mostly because no matter how old I get, I'll still be younger than them.

I've kind of given in to the idea that one day I'll be old and have wrinkly skin. I'd like to think it isn't, but it's inevitable. So, I've resorted to doing everything I can to keep my skin as healthy and soft as possible now.

Enter Softsoap Nutri Serums, this week's Saturday Sample.

My mom -- who is the best mirror into the future I have -- and I have been testing it out the last few weeks. The microbeads have made my skin incredibly soft. It's also somehow found a way to really balance the color in my skin, which is something I generally resort to face washes to do. But I also have youth on my side.

My mom, well, she said after using it for a while, she doesn't even need moisturizer. Hey Juan Ponce de Leon: I think Softsoap found the fountain of youth.

I've chatted with Beth about this [[yes, we talk about body wash]], and we both had the same observation: this body wash doesn't lather as much as others. It does the trick without the bubbles. It's not terribly sparse or anything like that. You can still use it as a shaving cream substitute. But if you're looking for bubbles like in a kiddie bath, this isn't that.

It comes in two varients [[okay, I would say "scents," but Softsoap has taught me that "varients" is the correct word here]] -- Restoring with Vitamin E and Moisture Retaining with Omegas 3 & 6. The first is the purple bottle, the latter the green [[I'm just trying to oversimplify]]. My unofficial poll has determined that the majority of people like the purple bottle. The green does have a softer smell when it's in the bottle, but both are equally light and unpowering when in the shower. And that's big for me. I like fruit, but I can't stand if my shower is filled with the smell.

And, I have to throw this in there because if I don't, I'll be mad later. The bottle is clear. I actually really, really like that. I don't have to guess when I'm running low. No, in fact, I can see when I am. The body wash is also clear too [[save the microbeads]], and it actually looks super sleek. Yeah, I'm a fan.

This is officially launching on September 1, I've been told, and if you want to be one of the first on your block to wash with this, well, keep your eyes on the blog. We've got something special coming for you ...

Savings Times Two

The picture on the left, that's not this week's Stop and Shop ad. No, this week [[ending 09/03]] is formatted a little differently, but the sentiment is the same: There are dollar doublers in this week's ad.

Yes, at the bottom of the flier, you'll find four green coupons that make your $1 coupon worth two. The only catch is that you have to spend a minimum of $15 to use these. But what's nice is that you can use all four in one transaction. And you don't have to spend $60 to do so. Nope, just one $15 transaction and you're set. Thanks Stop and Shop.

Free Fancy Feast

Lately, we have gotten some good deals on dog food. But what about our kitty cats? Now they get their own free sample. And it is a good one! My Delberg and Teacup will surely approve of this one. Thanks to Walmart, your cat can try the newest delicacies from Fancy Feast.

Visit this site, complete your info, and wait for your Fancy Feast sample. In case you don't have a cat, you can always donate this to your local cat shelter. They appreciate anything you give them.

Cheap Outfit

Super big thanks goes out to Dana in Frugal in Virginia. Not only is she a member of our Supermarket Social, she's also a great deal finder.

She said that today, August 29 only, when you buy a pair of $19 jeans at Old Navy, you'll get a free t-shirt. Pretty good, huh? Well, if you head over to Old Navy Weekly, and do a little hunting, you might find a percentage off coupon that would make this deal even better [[although, anything off zero is still zero, but you'd save a bit on the jeans]].

Free T-Shirt

Who doesn't want a free t-shirt? Oh Shot is celebrating its first anniversary by giving away a free t-shirt. In case you didn't know, Oh Shot is a web storage site for all your photos.

Visit here.
Complete your information and pick a size for your t-shirt. Check your mailbox in a few weeks. Simple.

Get in on this now since supplies are limited to the first 2,500 requests.

Take Off Your Pants

I was in the mall with my mom the other day, when she dragged me into New York & Co. The store really doesn't capture New York fashion like it implies, but it's pretty good for what it is [[an affordable mall store]].

What makes it better -- right now at least -- is all pants and jeans are BOGO. I bought two pairs of pants for work [[and my mom had a 20% coupon, which helped]].

And, in case you need a reason to go back, for every $30 you spend, you get a $15/$30 coupon -- to be used in the future, after the pants are done being on sale I'm sure. But, get your butt [[yes, pun intended]] to New York & Co and see what you can pick up.

CVS Is Emailing Presents

If you're part of CVS' ExtraCare program -- and if you're a CVS shopper, you are -- you should register your card online because, generally, you get coupons emailed to you weekly.

Not all members do, and the reason why is semi-cryptic.

In any case, check your email. Some lucky people are getting emailed a coupon good for a free hand soap or a free 1.5 oz. bag of Gold Emblem nuts.

Personally, I have enough free nuts to last quite a while ... and a hand soap stockpile to match. Ah, what to get; what to get?

Free Chocolate Friday

This may look like a repeat [[it's the same post every Friday now]], but we gain new readers every day [[hello!]], and we don't want them to miss out on free chocolate.

So, here goes: This is your friendly reminder that today is Free Chocolate Friday thanks to the people over at Mars.

Every Friday, between now and September, the first 250,000 people to Mars' Real Chocolate Relief Act site will get a coupon for a free single chocolate bar.

You can get four per household during the promo period, so if you've only gotten one so far, what are you waiting for?

Pantiliners!

I know, the title of this post makes it look like I'm really excited about pantiliners. Well, Always has great products, as I'm sure a lot of you know.

Right now, head over to the Always site, and get a free sample of its brand-new Flexi-Style liner. I believe two liners come in the sample package.

It's extremely thin, with edges that fold over for extra protection. It looks pretty funky ... but it's free, and when have we ever turned down anything free?

Good Deal Alert -- Planters Trail Mix

At Walgreens this week [[ending 08/29]], Planter's Trail Mix is on sale for 99 cents with the in-ad Walgreens coupon. There are some $1/2 tearpad coupons out there and also from the Kraft back to school booklet there were $1/2 coupons.

Fifty cents is a good price for peanuts. Perfect for a quick snack or to throw in your little ones backpack. Don't forget you will need a filler if you use both coupons.

Thursday, August 27, 2009

Free Flower Bag

Loly Custom Florals is currently offering a free promotional flower bag. Go here to sign up. This would be great for cosmetics or even coupons! The site points out that it will not use your mailing address to sell to other companies or services, which is always a plus.

Again, this one opens a silly pop-up after you enter your information, but then if you exit out, it tells you that you will receive your bag soon.

Listerine Good Deal Again

We all know I love Smart Rinse. This post may even seem like Deja Vu since I wrote about the same deal a few weeks ago. This week at Walgreens, Listerine is on sale two for $8 and is giving back $3 in Register Rewards wyb two. Five bucks for two is an okay deal since these are 500 mL.

But there is a coupon for $2/1. If you have two of the coupons, you are now looking at $1 for two bottles. You don't have to buy the Smart Rinse, you can buy regular Listerine or the Agent Cool Blue. But I will be buying the green Smart Rinse for sure.

$5/$25 Ideas

Our great reader Jilly, asked in our forum if anyone had any plans for the $5/$25 at Walgreens. We know you registered for our forum in order to win our Rubbermaid giveawaythat everyone wants to win ... but just in case you don't visit there, I don't want you to miss the great deals. So here are my plans for the $5/$25.

I am totally getting Nips! I love those candies and they are 77 cents. Then I am getting Arizona iced tea for my husband. They are on sale too 2/$5. I am going to do a combo of them to get to $25. There are never coupons for those things.

My other deal will be:
2 - Benadryl - $3.99x2 = $7.98 - 2 x $1 coupon = $5.98 [[$5 back in RR]]
2 - Smart Rinse - $4 x 2 = $8 - 2 x $2 coupons = $4 [[$3 back in RR]]
4 - Keebler Cookies/Crackers = $10 - 2 x $1/2 coupons = $8 [[$5 back in RR]]
2 - Folgers = $5 - 2 x $1 coupons = $3 [[$1 back in RR]]
1 - Goody Ouchless Headband = $2.99 - $1 printable coupon = $1.99 [[$2 back in RR]]
2 - Rice Krispies Cereal = $5 - 2 x $1 coupons = $3 [[$2 back in RR]]

Total After coupons = $25.97 - $5q = $20.97 get back $18 in RR.
$2.97 + your state tax for all that stuff is a good deal for me.

Sense And Sale

The Glade deal at CVS isn't limit one. This is news to me. Or was news to me after I did the deal once. See, my ad says limit one. I've heard other ads say limit three. Either way, I know for sure my deal is limit more than one.

Why the babble? Because you need to break out those Glade Sense and Spray coupons from this weekend's inserts.

The Sense and Spray is on sale for $5 this week. Buy two, that's $10, and get back $3 in ecb.

You didn't think I'd leave you hanging there, did you?

Good.

This weekend's inserts had $4 coupons. Use two of those, your total will be $2 and you'll get back $3 in ecb. Yup, you're looking at a moneymaker.

Double Cheers For Teeter

The always lovely Melinda from Frugal Grace let me in on a secret yesterday [[well, secret for me, maybe not for you]]: Harris Teeter is having Super Doubles until Tuesday, September 1.

I went to the grocery store's site to see if I could find out any details, and I noticed that if you are an e-VIC [[which means you've registered your shopping card online]], you can buy Pop Tarts for 77 cents til Sept. 1. Limit one. If you're not an e-VIC, the price is $2 a box. Ouch.

If anyone has any shopping tips for doubles, be sure to post them in the comment or on our forum.

The Big Kahuna

So this deal is great. I mean, really, really great. So great, it doesn't even need a lengthy preface.

So, let's just jump right in ...

If you head over to this link, you can download Big Kahuna Reef, some computer game that does some thing. I don't know exactly.

It's free. I know that.

Oh, but it gets better. I mean, if the deal was just a free computer game, I'd at least try it out before telling you about it.

Instead, this goes on. If you download the game, you get a credit for $5 off any Amazon MP3 song or album. I told you it was great.

Kiss The Earth

You might argue I'm too eco-friendly at work. I won't drink tea unless I remember my travel mug, I bring a stirrer [[no plastic spoon]], my lunch comes in a lunch bag, and I'm constantly reminding people to recycle.

In my daily life, I wish I could be more organic and pro-eco, but it's just not as simple.

The Evolution of Smooth is trying to change that ... for me and the first 50,000 people who head over to the site. EOS is offering a free organic, all natural lip balm in a cute, spherical container.

This is definitely going to go fast, so hurry. Our Twitter followers found out first ... so you might wanna add us so you don't miss any deals.

Good Deal Alert -- Benadryl Itch Relief

Benadryl Itch Relief is on sale for $3.99 at Walgreens this week [[ending 08/29]]. If you buy two of them, you will get $5 back in Register Rewards. Pair this deal with two of the $1/1 coupons.

A dollar for two of these is a great price. I will be stocking up on the anti-itch spray. That stuff is amazing and works instantly.

Tweenie Bopper

I don't know who Steve Rushton is, but I know he's not Miley Cyrus' cute ex-boyfriend [[he's legal, so I'm allowed to say that]].

This Steve fellow, he's on the Hannah Montana soundtrack -- and sings a song that's almost too bubble gum pop to get on the album. Almost.

But, in case you're looking to make a Mickey Mouse mix tape, you can download StevieBoy's song, Everything I Want, for free over at this link.

Referral Wednesday: Jango and Pandora

This is a joint Referral Wednesday. Why? Because these two sites are pretty similar, so we might as well combine them and let you choose the one you like best.

The first site I've got for you is Jango. It's an online music streaming site that plays songs based on your music preferences. You can select bands or specific songs that you liked, and based on your choices, Jango will play other bands and songs that are in the same vein. Sometimes you'll end up with independent artists you've never heard of. You can skip those if you really like, but then you have 15 seconds of silence before you can get back to the music. Skipping has its consequences.

Pandora, the site my friend Susan recommends, is similar in that you can stream online music based on your likes and dislikes. The difference, with Pandora, you can stream on your Blackberry. I knew I needed one of those. Instead of taking your iPod and your phone to the gym, just take your phone and with Pandora, it can be your music device. It's pretty smart.

There have been sites like this in the past -- Launch by Yahoo! -- but those were so advertisement based, you'd listen to a song, then a 30 second commercial. These [[at least Jango, I haven't tried Pandora]], will stream for hours and hours and days on end without forcing a commercial at you. A bad unsigned artist, maybe, but no ads.

Go Wakeboarding

For four years, I lived in Pennsylvania, which is pretty much completely land locked.

No wakeboarding there.

But, even if you live in a coastless part of the country, you can still get a trio of free issues of Wakeboarding magazine. Who knows. Maybe you'll go on vacation to somewhere near water. If you head over to this link, it'll help you look like less of a landlubber.

Something To Say

Hallmark has this new line of cards called Connections, which pretty much means "snarky cards."

There's one that has a cover that reads, "I considered being a stay at home mom ... but then I found out the kids would be there too."

Oh hardy har [[no, actually, I really laughed]].

If you've used all your free cards, head over to this link here. Walmart is giving away a Connections from Hallmark card pro bono.

Don't Pee Your Pants

Poise liners are for weak bladders. I think. I'm not exactly sure. I am, however, exactly sure of the deal that's going on at CVS this week [[ending 08/29]].

Poise liners are on sale for $2. Buy two for $4, and get back $1 in ecb, so that kinda looks like you're spending $3 on these. Riiiight.

Head over to this site, and you can print out a $2 coupon off one pack. Print two coupons, get two packs for free, make an ecb, and then pass these along to the local women's shelter. Winners all around.

Free Herbal Candle

Beauty Herbal Spa is trying to promote its services in the community. As for which community that is, I have no idea, but it is a 970 area code, if anyone knows where that is. Head over to its site, fill in your information, and receive a free herbal candle. When I did it, it opened an annoying pop-up, but when I exited the pop-up, it said I would receive my candle in five to fifteen days after it has been shipped. Yay!

[[Lisa's note: Hey Jess. And anyone else who is curious: 970 is the area code for Northern Colorado]]

Five Off At Walgreens

There's a new $5/$25 coupon from Walgreens! Check out Walgreens' Web site to print this one out. It starts today [[08/26]] and is good until Saturday [[08/29]]. The same rules apply, as always.

Discount is after all coupons, sale price, taxes, and is not valid on photo, alcohol, or cigarettes. Hmm, my favorite candies, Nips, are on sale for $.77. I wonder if I could really spend $25 on just that?

Dentaburst Is Brushfree

Make A Photo Collage

For those of you with too many photos and too little wall space, Walgreens has a deal for you.

Between now and August 26, you can get a free 8x10 photo collage when you create one at Wags' photo site and enter FUNDAY at checkout. It's that easy. You can play with backgrounds and photos and all that fun stuff til you're done, then select in-store pickup, and you won't even have to pay shipping. Sure, that'll mean you have to get offline to pick it up, but a little fresh air never hurt anyone.

Ask The Divas: Twenty-Four Hour Stores

Well, Ask the Divas is going really well, if you ask me. We're getting tons of really good questions, like this one that reads:
Hi Lisa,

Do you know if CVS or other drugstores that are open 24-7 honor the special sales at midnight on Sunday or do you have to wait until later in the morning?
My answer:

Any Walgreens store that is 24 hours does not honor the sale prices until 3 a.m. est, when all the registers in the continental US switch over to the sale prices. Cashiers can price adjust for you to get the sale price if you're there before 3 a.m. est, but they can't force the register rewards to print. So your best bet is to go closer to 4 a.m. est.

Any CVS store that is 24 hours will honor the special sales beginning at midnight. So, if you check out at 12:01 a.m., in your time zone, you'll get the sale price and the ecb.

Many CVS stores begin their sales early, sometime on Saturday evening. That varies by store. So, if you go late enough on Saturday, you'll get Sunday's sale prices, if they have been activated. The trouble with this is that two- or three-day-sales will not print ecb until Sunday at 12:01 a.m., so you can't try to get those on Saturday evening.

I actually don't quite know about 24 hour Rite Aids. I've only ever seen one in my life, and it isn't close to where I live, so I've never been there at midnight to test anything out.

I hope that clears it up ... and doesn't make things more confusing for you.

If you've got a question you're dying to know, email Lisa at drugstoredivalisa(at)gmail.com. You'll get your answer -- and you might get a little blogger fame.

Get Glade

CVS has a ExtraCare Bucks deal for Glade this week [[ending 08/29]]. If you spend $10, you get $3 back in ECB. Lasting Impressions Starter Kits are on sale two for $10. There are coupons for $3 off from your 08/02 inserts.

Buy two for $10, use two $3/1 coupons and get $3 back in ecbs. Your total after coupons and ECB is $1 for two of them. I love the clean linen scent the best.

Chocolate Sale

I love chocolate, but I never understood why Godiva has to be so expensive.

Right now, it doesn't have to be.

Between now and Friday, August 28, if you head over to Godiva's Web site, and enter the code ENJOY20 at checkout, you'll get 20% off your order.

It's before shipping and tax, and it's valid only on orders under $600 -- yeah, as if someone would drop a month's rent on chocolate.

Beth Can Smell Pretty

Beth told us once that she was willing to spend money on Lady Speed Stick deodorant.

Luckily for her, she doesn't have to.

Head over to our printable coupons, and use zip code 33907 to print a coupon for $1.50 off any Speed Stick 2.3 oz or larger.

Why do you need that coupon, you wonder. Well, Speed Stick -- for men and women -- is on sale for $2.49 and giving back $1 in ecb, so $1.49. After your $1.50 coupon, it's a one-cent moneymaker. I know at least one thing you can buy with that penny.

If you have the Reinventing Beauty magazine with Kate Winslet on the cover, there is a $1 CVS coupon for Speed Stick ... making this a bigger moneymaker.

Good Deal Alert -- Colgate

Colgate Total is on sale at Rite Aid for $2.49 this week [[ending 08/29]]. There is an SCR for $2.49, making this free.

There are $.50/1 and $1/1 coupons. And there are also printable coupons for $1/1. Any of these will turn this freebie into a money maker.

Help A Blogger Out

As I told you the other day, my brother got a dog at school ... which means, he's gonna need some dog food.

I'm doing my best to request free dog treats and free food for the little pup.

And in Sunday's Red Plum [[from 08/23]], there was a coupon for a FREE Chef Michael's canine creations. Free works for me ... except I need more coupons. If you have any you're not going to use and you wanna send them my way, I'd be super happy.

Annnnnnnd, if you're not going to use your $.55/any Reeses product coupon [[from the 08/26 Smart Source]] or $1/2 Snickers, Twix, Milky Way, or 3 Musketeers coupon [[from the 08/26 RP]], and you like me ... well, I'm looking for those too.

If you're looking for anything, be sure to post a thread in the Trading Post section of our forum. Hopefully your fellow Divas-in-Training can help you out.

Moviecube On Monday

I still haven't stumbled over a MovieCube rental kiosk since Mallory shared a code for a free movie rental.

If you were able to see a movie for no money down, you're in luck. You can see another. The lovely Maria from our comments, and from Oh Lovely {Coupons} found a code for another free rental.

You can use it today only. Enter 3NRX9X8 at checkout, and you're free to go.

I Scream, You Scream For Free Again

I spent a few weeks ago in the Bahamas and found the smallest Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Shop in the resort.

This offers expires on August 31, so you have two more Mondays to go.

Tylenol for Beth

Unfortunately for me [[and my wallet]], I am allergic to aspirin, ibuprofen, and all non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines. Yep, that leaves me with just Tylenol. And of course, I have a medicine cabinet full of all the free medicine I can get, I just can't take it.

Luckily, Rite Aid has Tylenol on sale for $2.99 for the 20 to 24 count sizes. They are giving back a $2 SCR. Limit is one. There were also coupons in this week's inserts for $2. For most people this will be a money maker. For me I will be stocking up because after the coupon they are only 99 cents ... and the limit is how many coupons I can get my hands on.
