Foamy Legs

Don't roll your eyes. You come up with a clever title about shave gel.

Anyway ... Skintimate shave gel is on sale for $2.99 at Walgreens this week. It's also giving back a $3 RR, making it free. You can't buy another one with the RR -- no daisy chaining here -- but you can roll it into something else, like the Chapstick maybe.

The Skintimate is giving back $3 RR all month, but it won't be on sale forever, so get yourself some shave gel now.

Foiled Plans

Say hello to your last chance at free foil at Walgreens. Oh, it was great while it lasted. I remember my first free foil trip fondly.

Reynolds Wrap
-- then, like it is this week -- had the 20 foot rolls on sale for 89 cents. I had a coupon -- quite a few, actually -- for $1 off any foil, excluding 25 foot rolls. I went into Walgreens, armed with my coupons, and sure enough, they went through no problem since I was buying the 20 foot rolls. Free foil. Sweet.

There have been a few foil sales since then, and Reynolds Wrap seems to have caught on. I can't blame them. Not everyone likes giving away things for free. The latest coupons exclude the 20 and 25-foot rolls, but the last set of coupons that only exclude the 25-foot size are from the February 8 SS. They expire on Saturday, April 4, as does this sale.

So hurry up and stock up on foil -- before you have to start paying for it again.

The Magic Of Coupons

Macy's is having a red hot sale this week, which means a lot of coupons in this week's ad. If yours is still in the recycling bin, go pick it out.

On the cover, there's a 15% off shopping pass that you can use until Sunday, April 5. Open the ad and four coupons on the next two pages. What are they, you wonder. Wonder no more. By the way, there are two of each of these coupons, valid now through April 5.
  • $5/$25 on regular, sale, or clearance merchandise.
  • $10/$50 on regular, sale, or clearance merchandise.
  • $15/$75 on regular, sale, or clearance merchandise.
  • $25/$100 on regular, sale, or clearance merchandise.

Tidy Bathroom

No one likes cleaning the toilet. At all. Sure, you do it -- but there's no one who says, "I'm totally staying in on Friday night to scrub the bathroom from top to bottom." You put on your party shoes, ignore the soap scum, and hope that a fairy godmother comes in and bibbity-boppity-boos it all away.

If only we were so lucky, no one would have to take advantage of the Lysol deal at CVS this week.

Right now, the Lysol Toilet Bowl cleaner, Lysol Disinfecting Wipes, and Lysol All Purpose Cleaner are on sale for $2.50 each. Buy all three for $7.50.

There were Lysol coupons in the 03/15 SS, including $.75 off the bowl cleaner, $1 off the wipes, and $.50 off the cleaner, taking off $2.25, and making your total $5.25.

There's a mail in rebate for $3 wyb three different Lysol products. Print that out, mail it in with your receipt, and get a few bucks back.

Sure, it looks like you're spending $2.25 on these, but chances are you're paying with ecb, and now you're changing your ecb to cash, and no one can shake a toilet brush cleaner at that.

Kissable Lips

Chapstick is such an important cold weather accessory, even more so than hats and gloves. Red ears are definitely better than chapped lips, no matter who you ask.

The winter is ending, but your lip regime shouldn't. Especially when Walgreens has you covered.

This week [[ending April 4]], when you buy a True Shimmer Chapstick -- 100% natural, I might add -- you'll get a $2 RR. There isn't even tax on chapstick, so you're making a penny on this.

Bistro Bistro

Hurry out to Jewel. Right now. Well, not right now. You should probably finishing reading this first.

Ronzoni Bistro Pasta items are bogo this week, ending tomorrow, April 1. There was a bogo coupon in the 02/08 SS, so combine these two and get two for free.

Ronzoni Bistro comes in four varieties -- Spaghetti & Meatballs; Rotini with Tomato & Basil; Penne with Chicken & Broccoli; and Linguine with Chicken & Mushrooms -- so if you have two coupons, you can complete the world tour for free.

Wii Would Like To Amazon

The Wii is fantastic. There are only a few things I would choose over it: world peace, a bag of Cadbury mini eggs. I'm kidding, of course, but the Wii is great. The only downside is the games are so incredibly expensive. To cut the costs, I'm saving up my Swag Bucks and MyPoints to get a couple games.

Amazon is helping out with that.

Today is Wii Game Day, and there will be six video game deals over at Amazon. Check that out, see what's going on, and get some early Christmas shopping done. Or buy yourself a present. Whichever.

Sharpen Your Skills

If you take any advice I offer, take this: Do not search Sur La Table on Google images. Oh sure, you may end up with the company's logo, like I did, but you'll also be greeted with a graphic pen drawing of two people in a compromising position.

You just tried it, didn't you?

I warned you.

Anyway ... Sur La Table -- the store, not the sex act -- is offering knife sharpening. You can bring one or two knives and get them sharpened for free. Additional knives will cost you a dollar an inch.

There are other instore evens, like Bobby Flay doing a book signing at The Mall at Chestnut Hill's store next month, which is cool, because Bobby Flay seems fun.

This Too Shall Paas

If you have any intention of revisiting your childhood and dying eggs this Easter, head over to CVS to buy your egg dye kits. Paas kits are $1.99 with $1.99 back, limit two. It's only a two-day sale though, so hurry up to get your dye.

But be really careful of what type you get. The classic and original sets are giving back ecb, but the fun ones -- sparkly, tattoo -- are priced at $1.99, but they're not giving anything back [[unless you count a return visit to the register to return and rebuy]].

Another Day, Another Movie

It's that time again. What time? Redbox free movie time.

Twilight came out last Saturday, so if you're curious about the hype -- but don't wanna pay to see it -- here's your chance.

Use today's Redbox code -- 89ZQJ3 -- and rent it for free.

Price Matching

A co-worker was so excited to tell me what she heard at Wal-Mart over the weekend. She starts off telling me all about her trip and how there was no one in the return line. That's a big deal at our Walmart. Anyways, the cashier was busy with the weekly sales ads. And not the ones for Wal-Mart.

So the big news was that Walmart will price match other stores if you bring in the sales ads. I had to tell her I knew that. But it got me thinking maybe not everyone else knows that either. So here is the deal: The sale has to be advertised in the same week from a store in the area. Walmart won't price match buy one get one free sales, percentage- off sales, or match items that are free after ECB or store rebates. Walmart's Web site says the store manager has the final decision, so it is a good idea to talk to someone at your store and see what its stand is.

Kitchen Tools For Outdoors

For those who don't know, Sears' sister store is Kmart. There's also a brother store in the family called The Great Indoors.

The store doesn't just sell things like tents and sticks, whatever else you'd find outdoors. They also sell silicone-head spatulas. Or, in this case, give them away.

Between now and April 4, you can get a free one when you bring in this coupon. It doesn't specify a brand, but the limit is only up to $4.99, so I'm pretty sure your options are gonna be a little limited.

The people who can get these are limited too. There are only stores in Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio, and Texas. But, if you're lucky enough to live around there, let us know what you get.

Body Washing

Sometimes the best deals get the worst titles. But that's mostly to keep you paying attention and reading every post. Well, that -- and after I've written five in a row, my creativity starts getting a little drained.

But you need to go deal hunting anyway, so it shouldn't matter too much to you. Right now, you need to have one foot out the door.

Softsoap body wash is $3.99 at Walgreens this week, and when you buy one, a catalina for a second bottle -- for free -- prints. When you buy the second bottle with the cat, that's supposed to be the end of it.

But, there's a glitch -- and this rolls. The free bottle is printing out another free catalina. So, depending on how nice your cashier is, you might be able to just keep buying and buying until you get tired.

You need to get on this now though. When Wags catches on, you bet this is gonna be a dead deal.

Cheaper Grilling Time

I hope you all listened to me last week and picked up your cheap Cattleman's Barbecue Sauce at ShopRite.

If not, you should still print off the coupon and buy the sauce because, lucky for you, I found a rebate.

Send your store-identified cash register receipt, with the Cattleman's circled, along with a 3x5 card with your name, address, and email to Cattleman's Barbecue Sauce; PO Box 1184; Grand Rapids, MI 55745-1184.

The receipt must be dated between March 01, 2008 [[yes, last year]] and June 30, 2009. The rebate can be up to $2.19. Maybe to some people it's not worth the stamp, but to me, it's a free dollar and change.

Staying Regular

All poop jokes aside, Fiber One bars are incredible. They're a little pricey, but worth paying for. Plus, they're fun too.

Wait, what?

If you head over here, you can play a little fiber game against some random person from the Internet [[or a computer, really, how would you know the difference?]]. If you don't wanna play, you can print out a coupon. If you do play, you can print out all the coupons from the previous weeks. We're in week three already, but Fiber One just decided to tell me about it now. I guess it knows I'm getting my fiber.

If you do play the game, there are prizes involved. The grand prize is a luxury spa trip in Arizona. Each week, you can win a Flip Video camcorder and each day you can win a $50 cash card. So, if you win them all, you can have money to spend and a camera to record your spa trip. Just don't bring Fiber One bars with you. You might not be able to make it through the mud bath.

Getting Your Nails Done

If you haven't accumulated enough nail polish ... wait, let's be honest, can any woman actually have "enough" nail polish? I didn't think so.

Sally Hansen nail polish is on bogo sale this week at CVS. The nail polish starts at $2.49, so if you have any of the $3/2 Reinventing Beauty coupons left, you can pick up some free polish. The coupons expire on March 31, so you better run out today, tomorrow, or Wednesday to pick up some for free.

Coffee Monster

I know a couple people who can't function without their morning java. I'm not one of them. I'm a hot chocolate girl. But I recently learned that you can add Coffee-Mate creamer to hot chocolate to make it flavored -- and why I didn't think about that every other time this stuff was on sale, I'll never know.

Right now, Coffee-Mate is on sale at Stop & Shop for $2.00. There's a printable coupon for $1 off, which makes me almost compelled to try it. I think I'm going to hold out to see if it goes on a ten for ten sale anywhere first.

Breakfast Toasters

When was the last time you looked at a Pop Tart? I mean really looked at one and thought, "Is there any nutritional value in this processed piece of cardboard and hard icing that I'm about to put into my body?"

The answer to that question -- Mallory! -- is no, not really.

But hey, if you like those things, head over to Stop & Shop. This week, ending April 1, when you buy three boxes of Kellog's Cereal, you'll get a free Pop Tarts 12 pack. I know someone who will be stocking up.

Build A Friend

Build-A-Bear is all the rage with the kiddies -- and yes, some adults too. You buy a stuffing-less body, stuff it with "love" [[also known as poly fill]], put a heart in, sew it up, and you have a new friend -- and someone to buy expensive outfits and accessories for. This bear -- tiger, elephant, reindeer, whatever -- is not cheap.

Thank goodness for coupons.

Between now and April 19, you can save $5 on an animal priced $10 or more with this printable coupon. It's not gonna help you with the outfits, but it's a start.

Free And Equal

If artificial sweeteners are your thing, you're gonna want to head down to Walgreens this week -- and beat down the little old ladies who are also convinced that Equal is better for you than sugar [[you can take your chances with aspartame]].

But, if you want to kill yourself softly, Walgreens has 100-count boxes of Equal on sale for $2.50 this week. If you still have $2.50/1 coupons left over from 01/04, you can pick up some free boxes. Enjoy it while you can.

Searing Sales

People shop at Sears for tools. Other than that, Sears is kinda off the department store radar. The store is trying to change that, luring you in with today's one day sale.

Today -- March 29 -- you can get an extra 20% off women's, men's, and kids clothing; accessories; shoes; and fine jewelry. Take 10% off almost anything, and get 5% off big ticket items like GPS systems; DVD players; home theater and audio; TVs; digital cameras; and camcorders.

Shop online from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. or in-store from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for these deals. But let's say you wanna go a little earlier. Print out this coupon and you can get 20% those items listed above from store opening until 5 p.m. Go beat the rush.

Pepsi Sale At Target

Starting Sunday [[03/29 through 04/04]], 12 packs of Pepsi are on sale for $3 each at Target. But if you buy five and spend $15, you get a $5 Target gift card. Be sure to check your weekly fliers since sometimes these deals are only regional. I am in the Pennsylvania region and these prices are good here.

After the gift card the price comes down to $2 each. Great deal! And there are some coupons floating around out there and even some printable coupons you can find on the Pepsi Web site.

Pointy Shoes

Steve Madden is known for great shoes. Maybe a bit impractical at times, but great nevertheless.

Right now, Steve Madden clearance is 30% off -- which may still break the bank, depending on what you choose.

To save a little bit more, your first order ships free. Also, if you sign up for the mailing list, you can save an additional 10%. Maybe you will get those new pumps after all.

Atlantic And Pacific Tea Company

A&P is celebrating its 150th anniversary. I know this because there's a huge logo on the front of the ad. Maybe it was there forever, but I didn't notice it. It also says that it's The Great Atlantic And Pacific Tea Company -- so now you know where A&P comes from.

That history lesson has a point, and here it is: If you spend $200 to $299.99 between March 13 and April 2, you'll earn a certificate for 5% off a future purchase. Spend $300 to $399.99, earn 10%; and spend $400 or more, save 15%.

The fine print says you can max. out at a savings of $75 on a $500 purchase and you must use your certificate by April 16. Sounds like a better deal to me than all the free hams going around.

Saturday Sample: Glade Sense And Spray

We're playing a game in my house now. At least, my mom and I are playing. It's called, "Try to duck and dart around when you're in the bathroom so you don't set off the sensor on the Glade Sense and Spray." It's really a lot more fun than it sounds.

I got a Glade Sense and Spray [[through bzzagent, not Walgreens; I totally missed that sale]]. If you didn't figure it out, it's this week's Saturday Sample.

Basically, it's an air freshener on a timer. It has a sensor that detects when a person enters the room, blinks three times when it finds someone, and then it sprays. After it does, it will shut down for a half hour -- leaving the light on -- to not waste the spray. During that time, if your room needs some freshening, you can manually set it off.

The scent actually does fill the entire room, which is really nice. But, sometimes, you don't need it to go off. Like when you're washing your hands or you're about to jump in the shower. That's when you play the dodge the sensor game.

The box boasts that the product -- which comes with two batteries -- will last about a month, if it sprays an average of 10 spritzes a day. Maybe in a typical house. Here, we're doing the army crawl to get into the tub.

The starter kit comes in two scents: Apple Cinnamon and Clean Linen. I have the latter and I really like it. Beth said she tried the former and she wasn't a fan. You don't have to match the refill to the starter kit. Switch it up if you want. Refills come in Country Garden and Powder Fresh, in addition to the starter kit scents.

The product is really cool an innovative, but not for the faint of heart. When I set it up in the bathroom, I called my mom in to tell her about it. I pushed the button to manually set it off -- and I wasn't expecting it to puff like it did. I jumped back a little. My mom said, "This is going to scare Grandma."

About an hour later, my mom went to take a shower. She threw her clothes down, trigger the sensor. You could hear her laugh echoing off the bathroom walls.

Maybe it's scaring more than my grandma.

Expect Cheap Things

One day, and one day only, you can get super cheap things at Kohl's.

Okay, that's not true. Kohl's usually has great items at great prices all year round, but today, March 28, you can get an even better bargain.

Use the code TAKE15NSAVE when you check out online for a 15% savings. But let's say you've filled your virtual shopping cart up high with more than $100 worth of stuff. Don't use that code then. Use this one: BUY2SAVE. You'll save 20% on everything and get free shipping. This deal only works online, so if you're spending a lazy Saturday behind the computer, you might as well get some shopping done.

I Give You An A

Some people marinade steaks; many people love a gourmet rib eye; others just pour a bottle of sauce on some meat and call it a meal. If you're one the latter, hurry over to your local Jewel.

From now through April 12, you'll earn a $1 oyno catalina if you buy two bottles of A1 Steak sauce; buy three and get a $2 cat; and four bottles will earn you $3 off your next trip.

Smooth Legs

It's pretty safe to guess that my Aveeno love fest has not gone unnoticed. I've got one more great Aveeno deal for you.

Aveeno shave gel is $3.99 at my local CVS, and it's giving back $2 in ecb [[as part of a monthly deal]]. You can print a coupon here for $2 off any Aveeno product. When you combine the coupon and ecb, you've got yourself some free shave gel.

Watch Television

How I Met Your Mother is the first television show I've watched in about a decade. Literally. I never understood the allure of sitting in front of a television until this show. I mean, I went years in my apartment without even having a television and I was fine until I discovered this show. Now, I don't even go to the gym on Mondays.

It's that awesome.

If you have a CBS show that you love that much, you'll probably wanna sign up for a free subscription to Watch! magazine, CBS' television, music, and anything else pop culture rag.

I heard it takes a while for the magazine to get to your mailbox, so, until then, you've gotta watch your favorite shows.

New Coupons Are On

Old Navy Weekly has refreshed again, bringing us to the lovely answer post. I mean, it's one thing for you to try to find the coupons ... but it's an easier thing for me to just tell you where they are.

In order to get any of the coupons, really, you have to match up the heads on the right side with the correct mannequin. Yeah, they're headless. Just so you can cheat a little, in order, they're: Kelly, Amy, then Heather. Okay, now that that's done ...

20% off two items -- Blue banner where the heads just were

20% off one item -- Amy's dog's head
20% off one item -- The flower on the dress of the little girl in the first frame

*30% off a single item -- Scroll through the "Fabulous Finds" until you get to the boys swim trunks. Click those.

20% off entire purchase -- Watch the Supermodelquins movie. At the 1 minute, 6 second mark, click on Kelly's head.

30% off entire purchase -- There's a dolphin that jumps in Amy's frame. If you can catch it, you'll get the big coupon.

These coupons last until April 2, so enjoy.

Freebie Friday

I'm sorry everyone for not doing Freebie Friday last week. Come to think of it, I can't remember why I didn't post [[Lisa's note: Mallory, I think your Internet was down and you couldn't get on the site]], but this week I'm back in the game and ready to share my freebie findings.

One] Who doesn't love free samples of body wash? I sure do -- but this is all for your men, brothers, and uncles [[Lisa's second note: Mallory, I'm calling your dad up right now to tell him you apparently left him off the body wash list]]. If you head over to Walmart's Web site, the store is giving away free samples of Old Spice Red. Get them while they last.

Two] If you're a coffee addict like me, then you're going to love this offer. Dunkin' Donuts is giving away a free sample. [[Good thing I just bought a coffee pot]]. The site already ran out of Hazelnut so hurry up and head over to get your free sample of Original.

Three] Do you suffer from allergies? Yes? Well, then this is for you. Walmart is also giving away a free trial sample of Zyrtec. All you have to do is fill out a simple form and bam! Within three weeks you'll get your Zyrtec.

Four] I'm always looking for new shampoo to try out and here is a great chance for me to try Dove Hair Therapy System. Dove is giving away a free sample and all you have to do is register for free.

Milking For Free

Stop & Shop has a commercial on air now saying something along the lines of, "Going through so much milk you're thinking about buying a cow?" Sure, you can donate a cow, but I'm pretty sure that's not what the grocery store had in mind.

If you feel like you're going through a gallon a day, Stop & Shop has a deal for you. Buy six gallons of milk using your shopper's card and get the seventh for free. You don't have to buy these all at once [[even though you can freeze milk]], so if you're already buying milk as is it, you should change your milk-buying-spot to S&S. Might as well get something.

Vicky's Lotion

Victoria's Secret doesn't have to pay any woman to fall in love with the store. Ladies will shop there anyway. But a few freebies never hurt business -- and Vicky is sure handing out the freebies.

When you're stopping in to pick up your free tote, don't forget this new coupon for a free mini body lotion. No purchase is necessary and the offer goes until April 12 -- so no rush ... unless you're worried they'll all be gone when you get there.

ETA: So I got mine, and it's awesome. It's s small travel lotion, and it smells incredible. Plus, I reread the coupon, and it actually says one per person per day, so you can totally stock up on this in case you do fall in love with it.

Cereal Killer

The more cereal you buy, the more you save at PathMark, from today until April 19.

Buy any three Post cereals [[10 oz. or larger]] and get a $2 oyno catalina. Buy four and get $3, and buy five and get a $5 cat.

You're gonna have to pay full price for the milk though.

Thursday, March 26, 2009

Grilling Time

It's still a little cold to have a deck party, but you can still fire up the grill. If you're a die-hard, you probably make your own barbecue sauce, but the everyman inside most of us just buys a bottle off the shelf.

If your BBQ sauce of choice is whichever is on sale, then you've come to the right post.

Cattleman's barbecue sauce is on sale for $1.79 at ShopRite this week. Pair that with the $.75 printable that gets doubled, and you're looking at 29 cents a bottle. Sounds like someone's gonna need some charcoal.

Just A Little Trim

Schick has come out with a new Quattro razor that has a trimmer on one side. It's very much like the Schick Titanium for men that I envied because it had a trimmer. What I needed a trimmer for was beyond me, but it wasn't fair that the guys get one and the ladies don't. Well, Schick must have her my internal complaining because the new Quattro has a trimmer.

Of course I bought it, except I still have no idea what I'll do with the trimmer.

The Schick Quattro with two cartridges is is advertised to be $8.99 with $3 back in ecb, but the Quattro with a trimmer only has one cartridge. I bought it anyway and wouldn't you know, the ecb printed.

So go get one of these new razors [[don't forget to use the $4 coupon from the 03/22 SS]] ... and when you figure out what to use the trimmer for, let me know.

There's A Woot Off Going On

We mentioned Woot to you the other day and then bam, within the week, there's a Woot Off, which is potentially the coolest thing on the Internet.

Usually Woot has one item a day and you get to buy it. The end.

During a Woot Off, Woot has tons of items for dirt cheap -- but they sell fast. You kinda need to hit F5 with a fury if you want in. Anyway, it's a great way to waste tons of time if you're at work, bored at your desk, looking for both a time killer and Christmas gifts. Shipping, no matter what you buy, is $5.

Veteran Wooters are waiting around for the Bag Of Crap, which has been everything from a frisbee to a Wii. It's worth the risk.

You Say Tomato

I'm not gonna lie, this deal is a little confusing. I thought about not posting it at all, but if you're brave enough to try it, here goes:

This month at Walgreens, if you buy $10 worth of certain ConAgra products, you get a $5 rebate. Now, that's $10 worth pre-sale. Okay, with me so far?

Hunt's tomato sauce is regularly 99 cents for an 8 oz. can. This week, there is a 7 Day coupon in the ad to make the cans 39 cents, saving you 60 cents a can. Still with me?

In theory, if you buy 11 cans at 99 cents, that would be $10.89, pushing you over the $10 threshold and you'd get back $5. If you use the in-ad coupon, you'll get $6.60 off [[60 cents times 11]], making your out of pocket $4.29.

Now here's where it gets confusing.

When your sauce is rung up, the first four cans ring at 99 cents [[$3.96 towards your total]] and the fifth rings up at 4 cents, so you're actually only getting $4 towards your total, not $4.97.

Then, every can bought after rings up 80 cents. This is why I hate Walgreens. Things are not uniform. But, this is not the place for a rant.

So, the first five cans gives you $4 towards your total. Buy eight more at 80 cents each for $6.40 more towards your total. So now you're at $10.40, so you're set. The cans will actually cost you 39 cents after the in-ad coupon, so 39 cents times 13 cans is $5.07 out of pocket, and you'll get back $5 for the rebate.

If you skipped the entire post and only got down to the end, here's the summary: Buy 13 cans of Hunt's tomato sauce. Use the in-ad coupon. Pay $5.07. Get back $5 in a scr. The end.

Gift For You

CVS makes most of its money on prescriptions, that's true, so if you're getting meds there, CVS isn't giving you anything more.

But, if you decide to place a $50 or more non-script purchase online, then CVS wants to be your BFF and give you a gift.

Between now and Friday, you can get a Pocket Purifier Handheld Germ-Eliminating Light or a Stroll-A-Tune Stroller Stereo System for free. Just add one of the two items to your cart, shop around for more than $50 worth of stuff, check out, and there you go.

If it was me -- and it won't be because you can't use ecb online -- I'd choose the latter, partially because I have a few pregnant friends and partially because can you really eliminate germ with a light? I don't believe it.

Bolt To The Movies

I have no idea what Walt Disney's Bolt is about. A dog, I assume, does something. And Miley Cyrus voices someone or some dog. And, now that I've seen the movie poster, apparently John Travolta does too. Other than that, I'm clueless.

I do know a deal though, so here's one for you.

You can print out a coupon to save $10 on the Blu-Ray version of the movie. Or you can get a coupon for $5 off a regular, standard, no bells and whistles DVD.

Then, if you buy Bolt along with any product made by the following brands -- Ronzoni Smart Taste; Ronzoni; San Giorgio; Creamette; American Beauty; Prince; or Skinner -- you're eligible for a $4 rebate. Sounds like you can combine all that and get the movie pretty cheap. Lucky you.

Teamming With Amazon

Maybe you've noticed, but chances are you haven't, so we're letting you know. We've joined up with Amazon.com to bring you a complete shopping experience. If you scroll down on the left, under sites we like, you'll see a wiki for Amazon. You can click that for all your shopping needs. And if you do, Amazon will see that you're coming from here, and we'll keep our affiliation with them. So you can stay here and then shop -- which is always fun -- and we can look cool in Amazon's eyes. It's a win-win for everyone.

Simple ShopRite

I'm a chocolate fan. You can woo me with anything with a bit of cocoa in it. So you can imagine how thrilled I was to find tearpad coupons in CVS for 50 cents off Nesquik -- and how quickly my excitement faded when I didn't find a sale before I gave up chocolate for Lent.

The vanilla and strawberry versions are on sale too, and the vanilla is pretty good, but the chocolate ones were still bought -- they're just waiting in the basement fridge until Easter Sunday.

Here's the frees from my ShopRite trip pulled aside:

Nesquik
chocolate milk -- $1 [[$.50 tearpad coupon doubled]] = free

Incognito Brushing

Sometimes you have lunch on the go, but you don't have time to brush your teeth, so you spend the afternoon feeling a little unfresh.

Colgate has changed that with the Colgate Wisp, a mini on-the-go toothbrush that doesn't require water.

They're on sale all over this week, but the best sale is Meijers. The four packs are on sale for $1.99 and after the $.50 printable gets doubled, you're only paying a dollar to try these out.

MMMovie

Bolt came out on Tuesday, so chances are you have an adult friend who is begging to see the Hannah Montana-voiced flick. Why? I don't know. But I'm right, aren't I?

To get her off your back, rent the movie for free today [[or any movie for that matter]], using the Redbox promo code MMM325.

If you lose the battle, tell Miley we say hello.

Referral Wednesday: Viva Diva Cafe

There is no way we could have stumbled over a site with the word "diva" in the name and not used it as a Referral Wednesday topic. That's how you're getting luckily introduced to Viva Diva Cafe.

The site -- which you can sign up for here -- is so much more than a community surrounded by Viva paper towels. You know sometimes you throw a party with the illusion of it having a theme, but it's really just an excuse to get together? That's exactly what this is. That's exactly the premise here.

At the Viva Diva Cafe, you can chat with other people, share recipes, get free stuff. Oh, did you ears perk up at the end? You get 250 points for signing up, and then you get points for other things -- referring friends, commenting, participating in sweepstakes, that sort of thing. When you reach certain point levels, Viva will send you random gifts -- like cookbooks, coffee mugs, anything that can have a logo branded on it.

It's actually a pretty easy way to rack up some new stuff for the kitchen [[I've seen some of the utensils, and I really want them]]. Anyone you're cooking for will thank you.

Ladies Night

I'm a big supporter of never buying magazines. Many of them are the same, and you can get so many for free, spending $3.99 an issue just isn't worth it.

Point in case: You can get Women's Day for free for a year by signing up here. I've never actually read the magazine myself, but I've heard there's coupons inside, so it's worth the price just for that.

Campbell's Possibilities

I'm trying to get Mallory off her soup and pop tarts diet. She won't break away from her sodium-filled life, so hopefully she won't read this post.

Campbell's
or Swanson soup is bogo at CVS this week, with prices starting at 99 cents. There's a printable here for $1/2, so you can get two cans for free. Just don't share with Mallory.

Bidding War

Wendy's wants to give away some things for free -- and I don't mean a heart attack and thunder thighs; I mean a Kawasaki KLX140 off-road motorcycle.

Starting today at 11 a.m. est, Wendy's is having it's Bid for Value auction. The prices of these items start high, and whoever gets the bid for 99 cents wins. The bids can be reduced by either one penny or one dollar, depending on the prize. If you're the lucky one to get the magic 99 cent bid, you win.

Prizes start at 11 with a Harvard Double Shot and end at 12:30 p.m. with an Inflatable Boxing Arena. There are other auctions that happen between today and April 3, so if you don't win today, don't worry. You'll have other chances.

Securty Blanket

My family and I went camping on Long Beach Island this summer, and I was flipping through the CVS ad. There were fleece blankets on sale for $2.50. I thought this was a great price, so I went to the local CVS to buy one. Oh there were pails and shovels and silly straw hats and tons of bathing suits even [[LBI is the beach, for anyone who didn't click the link]], but no fleece blankets. When I asked the cashier about it, he laughed but wrote me a rain check anyway.

I've thought about them on and off since, but I never bought one -- until this week. I stumbled over the blankets, and to my [[slight]] surprise, they were on clearance for 63 cents. I picked up two [[I needed a $1.26 filler and this was perfect]] and am in fleece heaven. It pays to scan those winter stragglers.

Get That New Bag

It's finally Spring. At least, that's what the calendar tells us. Time to hang up the black hobo purse and break out a floral satchel. Wait ... you don't have a new Spring bag yet? Dillard's is going to help you out.

Today, if you go to the Dillard's in the Asheville Mall [[that's in North Carolina folks]] you can trade in your old purse, which will be donated to charity, and you'll get money off a new one.

If the new bag you're buying is tagged $50 - $75, you get $15 off; $25 off a $76 to $175 handbag; $40 off if you pick one that's $176 to $199, and if your bag is $200 or more, get $50 off.

Now, assuming you don't live in Asheville, don't feel left out. Dillard's is doing this all week with different stores on different days. Call your local store and find out when the event is going on by you.
