It's easy to be misinformed about Halls cough drops. They're so good. But they're medicated. You shouldn't just pop them like candy.Although now you can.

Halls created Refresh, a hard card, in strawberry and tropical wave. Neither are medicated, so you can just enjoy.
And for free.
This week [[ending 10/03]], Halls Refresh are on sale for $1 at Walgreens. And you get a $1 RR, so they're free. If you picked up the paper this weekend, there's a $1/1 coupon, making them free -- and then a money maker.
If you don't wanna make money, you just want to build a hard candy stockpile, then you're still in luck. There's a $1/2 coupon for any Halls out there. So buy two for $2, use the coupon to bring it back down to $1, and then after the RR it's free. You're not making money, but that's what jobs are for.

And there was a BOGO tearpad!! 2 for free. I have the coupons, but my store has no more left! Sure hope they restock before Saturday

Just came back from Wags. Purchased 1 bag of Halls and 1 bottle of Herbal Essence shampoo, handed over a $.75 coupon for the Halls and $1 for the shampoo, and no RR printed out. Cashier & mgr both thought it was because I used coupons. Ridiculous. Anyway, mgr was nice enough to give me $3 on a Wags gift card. This is why I've been avoiding Wags for the past few months, and it was silly of me to give them another chance with the RRs.... :(
Oooooh, it is NOT because you used coupons And if you had two coupons and two items, there should have been no trouble. Ugh. I'm glad you had a great manager who gave you the RR on a giftcard. That's so much better because that doesn't expire in two weeks like the RR did.
Next time that happens, ask the cashier if you can go to another register. Chances are the catalina machine was either off or offline.

You are lucky to have a great Wags mgr. I hear so many horror stories but my store is pretty good.
Thank you for the tip, and it's good to know that coupon usage was NOT the problem. I'll definitely try asking for a different register next time. This is one of the older Wags in my area, and that may have had something to do with it. I haven't had too many issues at the newer locations.
